Are you up for requests? I like many loves Zombie apocalypse mods, and something some have'nt brought (that I can find yet atleast) is replacement for Supermutants = feralGhouls, gen2 Synths = feralGhouls, Scorpions = feralGhouls most raiders = ghouls (can have raider names) Mirelurks = Ghouls and then remove all traders and other non essentials / quest related characters so the game would feel even more empty, I feel the need of a less crowded commonwealth, even tho most lands are empty wasteland, too many seem to be moving outside the cities.
If you want some inspiration and a greater project then an zombie overhaul mainquest, everyone are now ghouls, and the institute as whole would have the feel of the abandonded FEV part of the institute, with crackling lights, rusty and and darker, with ghouls now running the show.

The idea with this is that I play a person waking up in Sanctuary Bunker with little to no memory, and in the back of his mind his PTSD of his child and wife got killed by ferals, tho he does'nt know that yet, so he wanders and surviving the harsh lands of the desert (dustbowls overhaul) with nothing but hot weather and sandstorms roaming the lands, in his mind he suffers from hallucinations of woman screams, and infant laughs and giggles echoing in his head, and on those dusty hills all I would like to see is less of everything else on the scavanging hunt of food and bullets.
Supermutants (read ogres) has never been fun to fight, nor does it fit the episode of a zombie apocalypse, raiders and gunners are fine, but I hardly think they would run 2 or alone in the wilds, robots ok sure they are the ones the people would send between settlements, not humans, also good guards that may make sense to be on standby for long with fusion cores, personally I changed molerats and dogs to wolves and rats, but those pesky mirelurks just feel odd, also stingwings and bloatfly are some that I just want deleted (could be ghouls aswell but they would probably fly if they were replaced?
Firstly, I welcome any and all requests. So, thanks for that. Buuuuutttt. Holy Moly, this is a massive mod. Not a small undertaking, and certainly not something I can do in a week. But, my interest is piqued. Ill keep you posted.
you could take it in steps tho, I know there are alot of fobias out there, and you could say that my character have got humanfobia, and for starters a simple creature replacer pack where you replace with ferals instead of robots like the others have done for example.
The institute main story change is something that can be done seperatly, right now I mainly want to replace mutants, scorpids, mirelurks, bloatflies, stingers, gunners, raiders with feralghouls.
