Okay, so in the course of fixing the previous bug (the one where Grandma's dialogue would show up for other NPCs), I set a bunch of conditions on her dialogues. I set them so that it would check to make sure the speaker was her, and--for a few of them--to also check that you were on the proper stage of her quest, or that you had her hired, just to make extra sure that her dialogue didn't get misplaced. And in doing so, I accidentally broke the f**k out of her quest. Whoops! I set her greeting for starting the quest to stage 30, instead of stage 10, which was preventing her from talking to the player AT ALL once the quest was started. I've updated the patch file to version 1.2 to fix this error. Sorry about all the updates!
After receiving the map from Grandma, the quest Good Samaritan initiates and asks me to talk to Grandma about the map to proceed. However, at this point it won't let me talk to Grandma at all so I can't move forward with the quest and can't get her as a companion. I keep pressing E on my keyboard and A on my controller to talk to her but nothing happens.
I've downloaded the mod on its own, plus with update 1.1, and on both occasions this bug appears. Also have put it on the bottom and on the top of my load order and this bug remains.
Okay, just uploaded a new version of the .esp under the name "Greeting Bug Patch". If anyone is having the same bug as michelita, where other NPCs use one of Grandma's greetings instead of their regular greeting, download that patch, and replace your .esp from the main download with the one from it. If anyone runs into any other issues, let me know.
After installing whenever I tried to talk to an NPC (not companions but settlers for instance) the message *the little old mirelurk looks at you curiously* would pop up and my character would do an idle pose animation. Uninstalling the mod fixed it. While on a mission scripted dialogs would work but if I tried to interact after cutscenes I would always get the same message about the mirelurk, even on a different location than red rocket. Interacting with grandma was fine, I thought finishing the quest may fix it but decided to just uninstall.
Crap, I know what that is. I must have forgotten to tag one of her greetings to only work for her. I'll go through and see which one I missed, then upload a patch. Sorry about that!
She should be fine indoors. The reason Spike has so much trouble is because rbddc12 (an no offense to them, Fusion City is an AMAZING mod, and I think everyone should play through it at least once, so many good quests and characters) didn't give him a new skeleton, he just shrank down his model size. Grandma has a new skeleton, so her bounding box and collision are both only 1/4 of the normal size for a mirelurk queen. She's still slightly bigger than a normal human model, but she should have no trouble fitting anywhere that say a supermutant could fit.
Mind if I ask, why the truck stop right near the starting area for the game of all places Gero? Looks solid and good all around, I'm sure Al will love it Gero.
Well, when I was first working on her, I was going to have her at the store, but that was before I decided to give her a quest. So I had to move her far enough away that it would actually be a bit of a trip to get there. Tried to think of somewhere that was both not *too* far away from the SDM and somewhere that would make sense for a lost little old lady to wait around at. It came down to either the Red Rocket or the Cambridge Police Station, and I was worried that she might screw with all the triggers and fights for Danse's group at the station, so Red Rocket it was.
I know it's pretty close to the starting area, but she's not anywhere near as strong as the vanilla mirelurk queens, so I don't think she's at risk of breaking the early game if you start a new character.

I hope this can get fixed.
