I cannot test the content myself so be sure to tell me if you are an xbox player if you come to report issues as they may be different than those experienced by players downloading from Nexus.
First off this is one of my favorite companion mods. Every new game, I make the trek to recruit her.
But I ran into an issue and can't seem to remedy it.
I dismissed her back to bunker, later went to get her back but was looking at her terminal when it seemed like extra dialogue stuff was showing off even tho she was working fine. So toggled all back on but she seems super quiet now. Will talk if talk to her but no singing, humming or comment on surroundings. Not sure best course of action. Hate playing with reset or uninstall reinstall.
I tried toggling on/off and she will still talk just not as much as before. I have been using AFT mod and even tho she isn't part of that group, she worked fine. Could be something else, I noticed that Strong and Darlene mod have constant convo with each other and maybe just muting her out, but when time will try dismissing everyone and just take her with me for a walk about and see if she gets back to singing and such.
Just seems odd she was fine til dismissed her but afterwards she just seems quieter than normal. Usually I never dismiss her when get her, and havent started nuka world so haven't unlocked her bench yet.
My guess is it's your list or this save since you haven't seen this before. I've had it happen occasionally but it's been in a save that I've been tinkering in esps or adding new mods midsave, etc. Could be the particular mix of mods. I can't say for sure.
Lol yeah, thats always been my downfall. Game runs smooth and no crashes so say to myself, maybe I should add a few more mods or companions. I will probably restart down the road since I have been tinkering. I hate to, since spent alot of time with current save, but few things did wrong this current playthru so it will come, but I want to see if have issues with current loadout for midtear but hard to say if my playing around caused other havoc. Thanks for replying tho, Heather is like American express, never leave FO4 without her. She does hold grudges tho, lol the synth and Piper hate rolls off her. :) Oh and BTW TY for the VIS patches, I was skipping her drinks due to using the wheel and hers not showing up but patch changed all that.
I've run into an affinity issue with Heather, or I just don't know what I'm doing. Either could be valid.
When I check A Promising Partnership quest it shows a check next to Heather Is In Love With You. However there's no check mark next to You and Heather Are Good Friends. I'm assuming there's a trigger that's supposed to happen to progress into the Romance plot, but I can't figure out what it is. I've checked the Debug Terminal and her dialogue tree and there's nothing there. I've also looped her "Your thoughts" option and exhausted her "What's On Your Mind" options. I'm not sure where to go from here.
Technical Notes: I'm running all Vanilla DLC, plus CBBE, The Eyes of Beauty, Full Dialogue Interface, Pip-Boy Flashlight, and Sim Settlements 3-in1.
I'm not sure what you are asking. Did you look through the affinity progression in the mod description? If you could read through that and be more specific about what you have done and what should come next that would help me a lot.
I completed Sweet Revenge. Checking her dialogue options it no longer shows the Affinity Check. I don't recall having the conversation about remaining friends or being lovers. When I use the "showav CA_Affinity" command with her it shows 0's which I'm assuming is because her affinity is tracked another way?
I'm guessing I tripped that part of the quest but something interrupted the dialogue and the 3 day period came and went. Is there anyway to remove affinity to re-trigger the event?
So the last convo you had with her was the fifth one? The one you can't get until you complete Sweet Revenge and have at least 900 points? You had that and at least three days has passed and she hasn't moved on to the last affinity convo?
Recently been using this mod and oh wow this is some amazing work you've done.
In Heather's bunker there is a cabinet in her bedroom that requires a key. I can't figure out how to get this key and I've already romanced her including wedding rings and all? A quick google (this posts page is unsearchable sadly) suggest to use Dogmeat to find it, although the poor dog can't find anything. Another snippet of a search result say that it's an Easter egg from the Willow mod you made for an older FO game which I don't have?
Any advice or hints please?

It's an easter egg that if you haven't played my Willow mod you will probably never stumble on how to unlock it and likely won't appreciate what you found in there if you did.

Give her 25 pencils or have 25 pencils in your inventory and then talk to her. She'll give you the key and the items in the cabinet won't mean anything to you, but you'll have unlocked the cabinet :P

Probably a very stupid question but does she say anything regarding America Rising 2's Enclave? Seeing that she likes the BoS and carries the last name of a certain outcast i feel she wouldnt approve of an Enclave character.
I can't seem to progress the Sweet Revenge quest, specifically the visit to University Point. The quest marker is in the air above the green and Heather says nothing when prompted. The main University Point related mods are Scrap Everything,University Point-New Settlement Area and Cartographers Map Markers. I don't think any of the other mods should be interfering but if this is common with other mods then I'd love to know.
Edit 1: Forgot that I also had the Unlimited companions mod but I will try what was recommended.
If you get the quest marker and she's asked you to take her there then she should have a convo for you. However, if she's in combat (which you cannot always tell except that she won't talk to you) then she won't talk. Companions don't when they are in combat. So you can kill everything around you that is hostile or go into the console and type

and that will Kill All Hostiles and then she'll talk.
If that isn't the issue then you can set any quest objective that does not set in game in her terminal. You can build on in a settlement (power > misc) or use the one in her bunker.
I will never NOT use Heather as a companion. I've just recently restarted an old playthrough..
While I was in a place with Halloween decorations? Heather started singing "Jingle Bells", and I was like, uhh...what? But I shrugged it off, we did ur job, and returned to Diamond City. And when I got to Diamond City, all I saw was Christmas lights and a few Christmas trees. My character, Amy Strange, smiled.
And I looked at my Pip-Boy's date.... Christmas fucking day. I never pay attention to the dates, but this whole situation was amazing.
Whoever plays Heather (and I assume, CASSIDY)?!
You and whoever helped you do this amazing companion, taking all that time? Absolutely amazing. <3
There is definitely something off with Heathers transponder after upgrading to Version 2.7. It just suddenly stops working. Then if I go back to my previous save, it works again. Then I can do exactly the same actions and its still OK. Its painful having to check that its working all the time. If its gonna be this way, could you make version 2.6 available again? I played to level 98 with Heather version 2.6 no problem. Just changed the version lately. Maybe the script is clashing with other scripts somehow?
This hasn't been reported by anyone else, but I'll take a look and see if I can duplicate it although it might be an issue in your save since I haven't heard this feedback before. Also, if you have sent her to a settlement and try to use it to bring her out of one it won't do that, but you should get a message telling you when it won't work.
I did see someone else reported it somewhere. I have never dismissed Heather ever. She still follows me when the transponder is not working. Better than most Companions. I have Darlene as well. Could F4SESUP help maybe? My game is quite script heavy with a total AAF setup. SEU and MSWL. Alternate start with Nuka Ride. But it all works.
If people don't report issues to me then they don't exist as far as I know and cannot be fixed. Also, if it's just two people out of thousands of players it's unclear what the issue is especially if I cannot duplicate it. There are a couple of issues that have cropped up lately that are technically not issues in that the content in Heather is built correctly, but they persist in failing to work properly for a small number of players. For example, the transponder hasn't changed v2.6 to v2.7 except to add a condition for if she's been dismissed to a settlement and there is nothing in it that should cause it to stop suddenly in the middle of a playthrough. It remains the same script for the entire game. If she is disallowed from following you then you'll get a message, otherwise it should always work and I cannot think of anything that would change that if you haven't dismissed her ever.
I think it's due to the enormously complicated lists people play with, tbh. There are bound to be issues that happen when you put that many mods together especially since the small number of things I see causing players issues are mostly scripted, like the transponder. I don't know exactly what to tell players to fix those issues because once lists get that big and that complicated it's a lot of work to track down what is causing issues like this in a given mod list.

First off I want to let you know how great I think this mod is!!! I have played with it my mod lists for many, many play throughs. As I was going through this play through, I ran into something that I had seen mentioned previously in the comments. It had to do with few other people indicating that they could not get Heather to use the Armor Work Bench. In my attempts to move the workbench to different places to try to make it work. It remined me of A poem that I found in my Dad's footlocker after he had retired from the Navy. It went something like this "We tried it on the sofa We tried it on the chair We tried it against the Wall We tried it everywhere. Oh how we laughed and laughed at how many ways we tried to take the photograph" Anyway, I made a short video of her and my reactions to me trying to get her to use it It was humorous to me Maybe not to everyone.
lol. That's a vanilla issue. If she refuses to go in a settlement after you've tried moving the bench around it might be that the game is preparing to send other actors to it. So getting her somewhere without other sandboxing actors can fix it or take her to her bunker and have her use that one.
I may have goofed. I think I assigend to settlement and then assigned to be a provisioner to Longfellow's on Far Harbor. I, um, thought she'd like to see more.
Transponder says she cannot come to me.
Tried to use refid and that "prid" trick. I can get her ref id from using help heather to get load order for her in my game. Also no dice.
I was told on Reddit that @llamaRCA still supports. COOL.
Any ideas? I thought about unistall, open saved game, then reinstall to maybe reset her start quest? I don't mind doing her tour from scratch.
Yes, that showed me her power armor and her. Both were in the basement of Parsons Asylum. Well, the armor was. It got left behnd when something with Valykrie mod and Cabots.
Map showed her in the elevator/shaft. I looked all over. No sign of her. I tried ghosting into walls. Nada.
Well, she would always come with transponder. But then would head off with her suffering Brahmin. I had modded the heck out of that one anyway, so I finished up.
I decided to try the Storywealth collection and I see HC is in that.
Hoping for a more realxed, immersive playthrough so I can finally finish her tour and see what else she is up to.

If you go into your quest log and activate her affinity quest you can then look at the map which will have a map marker showing her current location.
In Misc I see "Heather Bleedint Out Marker" and wen I say shwo me on map, it takes me to current location.
But this came up.

Took armor to sanctuary hills.
Maybe she will come look for it there.
Try the following:
1. Type the following into the console and then hit enter:
Set llamaDismissOverride to 0
2. As soon as you exit the console use the transponder to call her to your position
What will hopefully happen is when you use the transponder she will be rehired and following you again.

Lesson learned. Do not send HC as a provisioner. Pretty sure that was the start of my woes.
