True, but not everyone wants to mess with the console all the time. Sure its just a couple button presses, but this just give you maybe 5 minutes of extra exploration for the heck of it. Really nothing else to do. Thought about adding some more stuff beyond the bridge, but it would seem stupid to go sightseeing when a nuke is about to go off. lol
That's exactly what I did. I TCL'd out of the house before I talked to Vault-Tec and had no problems. I had no idea about the Trigger Nuke because I didn't have to deal with it.
I don't know why Bethesda didn't let you "go to the park" with your husband and baby before the bombs go off. That way you could do a little exploring of your neighborhood first.
"Nuke death triggers"...it seems like the nuke things wouldn't trigger until after you go to Shaun's room and play with the baby. Except you can't probably go up the hill where the vault is to explore, then the nuke death triggers would happen? I haven't looked at this area too much in the construction set. All I did was replace my garage house door with an openable door.
I don't understand why they still haven't adopted a "Live another Life" option for game+. Then they could have any stupid story about looking for family they want.
It's not that simple. You are talking about thousands of hours of rewriting and revoicing quests, adding new content so that it makes more sense if you are not playing as the lone survivor, entirely different relationships and motivations having to be written in and so on. I would rather they just move on to the next game. Todd Howard was honest and upfront about the negative feedback they received and he stated, and I trust them, to apply it in the future. I think we've seen our last voiced protagonist for sure. Plus they are gearing up for their big sci-fi rpg Starfield, so they won't have time to do anything else with Fallout 4 beyond the VR release.
They started at the concept phase. They could have done it easier than you let on. Seeing that modding is where their games shine, it seems like something that would have been adopted after Fallout 3. So much influence comes from the community. I did a ton of Skyrim mods just for role playing purposes in ridiculous load orders. I did Dragonborn DLC as Balzac the Jaws of Death. Live Another Life would really be the best move. Todd is smart guy. Figured he would have picked up on it.
