    As BCR doesn't work in FO4VR, this is a huge mod for people who use lever actions! I have just tested with the Winchester Pack and it's working in VR. Thank you so much for keeping this up. This gives me hope that a similar mod could be made for other weapons that need BCR, and if nothing else that weapons based on the lever action are working already.

    On a short test this is working for me without crashing vs using the engine level version of the mod. Not saying theres something wrong with it per se but definitely a conflict somewhere. This one is less polished but appears to be more compatible with my load order, so thanks for keeping these up.

    It wasn't a bug they just didn't bother to implement a proper relaod system it was working as intended....Seriously do people nowadays not know what the works bug and fix mean?

    Just installed and works great. v1.10.163 ...update: it stopped working after uninstalling some mods, conflicts with some files.

      Yeah, mine stopped working too. And I don't use New Calibers, the mod a few people reported below.

      the mod stopped working out of the blue no conflicting mods here. if you uninstall the mod to do a clean save and then reinstall you get unattached instances, if you try to clean these instances the save game wont load. is there any way to reset the mod without the need to uninstall and reinstall the mod ?
      Edit: ok this is weird i reloaded the weapon while i was crouching and the mod started working again but now it reloads random amount of bullets.....

      oxman1, were you able to resolve your issue? I'm getting the same exact thing. Crouching and all.

      I'm not sure but I believe that this mod stop working every time I change my load order. Anyway there is a better alternative now: Bullet Counted Reload System.

    OP, if you're still updating, you should know that this mod isn't is semi-incompatible with mods that increase ammo capacity of the lever rifle. I can't reload unless I have 4 or less rounds loaded even though my max is 7. Also rounds 6 and 7 are loaded but not animated, so the animation shows 5 rounds being loaded (when empty), but I'll still have 7 rounds after the animation finishes.

    I use extra long barrels (https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/14020). Not sure if just this mod is the problem or all mods that increase ammo capacity

    Any chance of being able to do this with modded guns? Plenty of tube fed shotguns that could use a hand to not piss me off every time I have to load.

      I know this works with anything that uses the same animation so like the Trench Shotgun mod works like a charm with this fix.

    I still baffles me that this was never considered a bug that needed fixes by Bethesda. They were lazy enough to only add in one single reload animation for guns like this? -_-

      The reload mechanics works that way, the behavior handles single reload file, it would be too much work for single dlc weapon too implement partial reloads

      Aside from lazy bethesda and mods fixing bugs in games we love - how does the laser musket work? Isnt that partial reload in some way when you charge the rifle? I wouldnt mind to press R for every shell!

      Not quite, it fires all ammo in magazine at once. Also its functionality is hardcoded

      Not a bug and never was. It's because it didn't have a script for partial reloading. It always reloaded 5 because that's what the animation file does. Same can be said for all guns in the game .-.
