I have decided to re-enable comments again. I have spoken to the moderators and they are willing to help. We won't be pushed around by racists who think they can bully people into silence and censorship.

This mod is free for anyone to use, however. So if you're interested in continuing on this then feel free to.
Only condition is to not use it for a mod intended to harass, belittle or otherwise alienate our Muslim friends. That's it. You don't have to like Islam or praise it or whatever, that's your choice. Just leave these people alone, they have enough to worry about.

Actually, racism more about elevating one race above others on an institutional level by emphasising cultural and social norms associated with that race.
So it's totally racist when the religion largely practised by black people and people in the middle east is conveniently the enemy of all things supposedly good.
It's a bit like saying you can't be racist to immigrants because immigrant isn't a race. It's about intersectionality.
Not to mention that race in itself has no biological premise what so ever and is entirely a social construct that fluctuates with the interests of the ruling classes. That's why Italians and Greek somehow became white in the 50's. Why Poles and Irish were somehow not white in spite of their skin colour in the 1800's. And when you realise that arbitration then your notion makes even less sense.
Always thought that Islam was a pretty neat religion. It's extremists that take it way too far. Clearly there are great people out there who are Muslims. I myself am not a Muslim but I do so appreciate your work. Thank you and keep it up. <3
Religious context aside, I often overlook how beautiful Arabic designs on fabric and textile are. Are these your prints or did you source it from somewhere? if so can you plug us a link especially for the mat designs! Cool mod btw
One of them I got from wikipedia, and the other I saw in an article I read a while back. Don't exactly remember, though. I started work on this mod ages ago and finally found the time to finish it.
It is sad that most westerners have negative views against Islam and Arabic culture. They don't want to leave them alone, they rather see their Islamic world burn down.
I don't actually know how to make halal meat, or what the process demands. But it occurs to me how Fallout doesn't really have any pork products, so that's something. Plus, a lot of the settlement is about farming, which is vegetarian, and I know that's halal by default.
Brahmin would be a good way to show it, I'm not all that knowledgeable when it comes to Islamic ways of life or how you would be able to show it. I suppose you could have a butcher/herder workshop (similar to the scavenger workbench) that raises brahmin and will occasionally kill the brahmin in a peaceful manner. Other then that you'd have to play as a vegetarian.
A good idea could be that you use Sims Settlement's builder kit to do that.
Why not just make an Ultimate Religion mod? I mean it could include the most popular religions so that it appeals to everyone; Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Islam, and Judaism. Maybe some of the well-known but not popular religions such as Shinto or Sikhism. Perhaps for bonus points you could add the different denominations of Christianity, Islam, so on and so forth. That's a lot of work though so maybe I'm just spitting the improbable.
The issue I see with this is that you would need help from people who follow them, that way they could accurately portray them in the mod. Would still be do able though.

Basically, ensure a clean, painless death for an animal which lived a healthy life.
But how should that translate to gameplay I wonder?
