Not that i have problem with voiced protagonist, but Brian T Delaney isn't Mark Meer or Elias Toufexis (in which both delivers outstanding performance as respectively Shepard and Adam Jensen) and many of the Sole Survivor's line deliveries are just stiff even for Bethesda standards. That and sometimes his accent turned to a slurred faux British accent.
the mod is great but, if you can mod the camera on player remove them completely because when you start a conversation, the camera will focus on your character first about 2 or 5 seconds and then on the person you talk with. so my suggestion is remove completely the camera focus on player character when starting conversation to make it more immersive.
I wanna say thank you for ever putting this mod out there. It made the game a better experience. However, it did blowup my load times quite a bit. Once I made the switch as of late to CoffeeAddictUK's updated version, my load times are back to normal. Sorry. I gotta stick with it. But again, thank you very much for the great experience this mod gave me.
I just got all the DLC so I'll be looking into updating this mod in the future. NMM has a function that lets you clean up loose files (though anything installed through Steam or manually will be cleaned out), so I recommend using that to uninstall. I've put a warning in the file description about the uninstall issues.
If you're having difficulties uninstalling this mod, I have found a semi convoluted way to uninstall it. Step 1: Go to your Nexus games folder, it will just be directly on the harddrive and not in any other folders. Step 2: Go to Virtual install, and open up the Silence is Golden Folder. Open up your FO4 folder in the steamapps (Single Drive: C:/Program Files x86/Steam/Steamapps/common/Fallout4 | Multi Drive users should know where they installed it) And delete all the files that are also in the SiG Folder, since this was the only voice mod I had, I just deleted the voice folder. Step 3: Go back to the virtual install folder, open up Virtualmodconfig in Notepad++ or equivalent, then search for Silence is Golden, and delete all the entries associated with it Step 4: Open up Nexus Mod manager, right click delete. It will take about 5 to 10 minutes, depending on your drive's speed. And now your character will unfortunately speak again.
EDIT: After a bit of searching, I have discovered this mod: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/5660/? It makes it where your character is silent, and focuses the camera on NPCs instead of your PC.
OK, i want to uninstall this, because i thought this would get rid of the character talking lines and not either grunting from pain, attacks, or ect, but i does, and when i do try to uninstall it with the nexus mod manager, both either female or male, it stops responding and then crashes. So i deleted it from the nexus directory where it stores mods and that is still taking forever, not even half way by the time i post this. So, if you wanted a mod that only makes your character not talk in conversation, but still has other grunts or sounds, and wish to be able to remove the mod when you want to without the nexus mod manager crashing on you, do not get this mod, it was my own mistake of not reading the desc completely and installing it anyway, plus it has a large file size for a mod so it could be the reason.
