If you want the features that Armorsmith adds to all the vanilla apparel for other mods, the optional file section has AE Replacer plugins that you can use for a lot of mods out there (when installing, say yes when it asks to overwrite the original mod's plugin). There are also AE Merged plugins available. They are multiple AE Replacer plugins merged together so that you can use more mods while lowering your load order plugin count. Have all mods in their file description installed and manually remove all of the original mods' plugins as the AE Merged plugin will take all their place.

A tutorial has been added to the forums tab This tutorial will teach you how to make your mod or a patch use: Keywords to enable the Armorsmith Extended clothing modding system. Keywords and entries to enable Valdicil's Item Sorting (or any sorting mod that uses AWKCR keywords for dynamic sorting). Keywords to enable the Legendary Modifications legendary modding system. How to make your items craftable using AWKCR's Armorsmith and Weaponsmith benches and menu categories, to avoid adding new menu category keywords. How to assign slots to your items to conform to the Slot Usage Standard for maximum compatibility with other modders' apparel.
I've redone my compatibility patches. I was up above 240 plugins so I needed to lighten my load order. All the changes from the compatibility patches have been carried over into the original plugins. That's what's up with all the new AE Replacer plugins. Also I've made some merged plugins as well. If you use the AE Merged plugins you no longer need the plugins that have been merged into them. If you're unsure of exactly which plugins are covered by each merged plugin, look at the merged plugin in NMM and it'll have a list of the included plugins. Included plugins can be disabled and deleted. Old patches were moved to miscellaneous. There's no reason to use them anymore except as a modders resource if you need to pull the changes into a non-AE plugin if a mod gets updated.
I added some updated plugins on the Valdacil's Item Sorting page for clothing and armor that add support for the new Armorsmith clothing protective weave mods, and also the carry weight mods.
Hello! Is this the mod with the "Mercenary Combat Jacket A, B, C" etc. I have been seeing gunners with floating heads because the asset of the jacket isn't loading in and I'm wondering if it was part of this mod, lmao sorry if its not.
Bro the option to change the appearance of the armor(light, medium, heavy or invisible) in armor workbenches is missing, how can I do it myself can someone please teach me
I was having a problem with the Diamond City Guards in my game to where they're just wearing undies under their armor. I looked it up and it said this mod causes it sometimes. I was just wondering If there was anything I could do to fix this

you put "Requires AWCKR" on the latest update to the mod when it should say "Requires AWKCR" instead, you swapped the K and C. Just pointing this out since it may lead to some confusion.
EDIT, RESOLVED - turns out the patch I used to get the CC armor paints to work with armorsmith broke things, and apparently wasn't needed in the end. Removing both it and the separate concealed armor mods worked.
Having an issue with the "visibility" option being mostly gone. unable to swap meshes, and no option for concealed armor with that mod. -------------------- I've played this game with a near-identical mod set about a year ago. I uninstalled everything but vortex saved my save files, so I reinstalled most things recently and started up again. I had a hell of a time getting certain things to work, especially the creative club paint mods. Eventually I got those going with a patch, but now I have these two issues related to "visibility":
For the mesh issue - while looking at an armor, one of the mod tabs is "Alternate Mesh Option 01." clicking on that gives one option "-No armor index swap primary-"
For the MAIN concealed armor issue - the visibility option is simply gone in most cases. I got an apparently outdated patch installed from Concealed armor, I took their advice and deleted the keywords esp that came with the concealed mod, reinstalled akwcr and armorsmith... still no change.
I only have the visibility option in raider/metal armor. one legendary piece has all the options I'm looking for intact (concealed, light, medium, heavy) and a piece of raider armor has the option to conceal. that's it.
Any help for this person who's not the best at mod management would be great, thanks!
You almost certainly have a mod conflict. I started a new game with Armorsmith Extended 1 week ago and the Invisibility options are all present (except for Army Helmets, which have never had that option) and work fine.
Dang. I don't have much that alters armor, I thought a classic helmets mod might be the culprit a while ago.

Load order spam is fine, just use spoiler tags ([ spoiler ]LONG TEXT[ /spoiler ] without the spaces) to avoid pushing everyone else off the front page. Nothing really jumps out at me except Concealed Armor. I've never used that one or any of the Creation Club stuff. You might try it without the Bashed Patch too, I had to stop using it after some unexpected results (I just make my own patches with FO4Edit now).
I'm using wyre bash because the manual patching seems intimidating. Though I might have to do it myself. For concealed armors, it worked fine previously. but reading more about it, the creator said it's not needed due to the more recent akwcr.
I just did some tests. without concealed armor, without bashed patch, without both, and starting a new game with CA patched out. Still nothing.
not the end of the world, but I'm mainly playing to roleplay minutemen stuff so anything to help with the outfit looks would help.
Yeah, I'm the same way. I hate to clutter up a good outfit with armor stuck all over it (and sometimes clipping through it) but I like the extra protection. Well, as a last resort, you could always start a new game with just AKWCR, VIS-G, and Armorsmith Extended, verify that it works, then start adding everything else back in a dozen or so at a time until it breaks.
Okay I don't know if I'm dumb, but how do I use this mod? The description says to use the Armorsmith? What is that? Where is it? Is it a separate mod? Is it a location or person in the game? The page description has a crap ton of information but it doesn't actually tell you how to...do it?
I'm troubleshooting a CTD whenever I interact with the crafting bench and I notice that theres no AWKCR/Meshes folder in my game directory, but neither is there in the .zip of this download, its all ba2 files. should there be an AWKCR folder? I installed it through nmm without issue and I see it the ba2 files in my data folder.

I have been seeing gunners with floating heads because the asset of the jacket isn't loading in and I'm wondering if it was part of this mod, lmao sorry if its not.
A doubt:
The plugin for Eli's Armour Compendium refers to a older Mod named Eli's Armour Collection Remade - Vanilla and CBBE, should I install it anyway or would not work?
Having an issue with the "visibility" option being mostly gone. unable to swap meshes, and no option for concealed armor with that mod.

I've played this game with a near-identical mod set about a year ago. I uninstalled everything but vortex saved my save files, so I reinstalled most things recently and started up again. I had a hell of a time getting certain things to work, especially the creative club paint mods. Eventually I got those going with a patch, but now I have these two issues related to "visibility":
For the mesh issue - while looking at an armor, one of the mod tabs is "Alternate Mesh Option 01." clicking on that gives one option "-No armor index swap primary-"
For the MAIN concealed armor issue - the visibility option is simply gone in most cases. I got an apparently outdated patch installed from Concealed armor, I took their advice and deleted the keywords esp that came with the concealed mod, reinstalled akwcr and armorsmith... still no change.
I only have the visibility option in raider/metal armor. one legendary piece has all the options I'm looking for intact (concealed, light, medium, heavy) and a piece of raider armor has the option to conceal. that's it.
Any help for this person who's not the best at mod management would be great, thanks!
I started a new game with Armorsmith Extended 1 week ago and the Invisibility options are all present (except for Army Helmets, which have never had that option) and work fine.

Nothing really jumps out at me except Concealed Armor. I've never used that one or any of the Creation Club stuff. You might try it without the Bashed Patch too, I had to stop using it after some unexpected results (I just make my own patches with FO4Edit now).
I'm using wyre bash because the manual patching seems intimidating. Though I might have to do it myself.
For concealed armors, it worked fine previously. but reading more about it, the creator said it's not needed due to the more recent akwcr.
I just did some tests. without concealed armor, without bashed patch, without both, and starting a new game with CA patched out. Still nothing.
not the end of the world, but I'm mainly playing to roleplay minutemen stuff so anything to help with the outfit looks would help.
Well, as a last resort, you could always start a new game with just AKWCR, VIS-G, and Armorsmith Extended, verify that it works, then start adding everything else back in a dozen or so at a time until it breaks.
