If you want the features that Armorsmith adds to all the vanilla apparel for other mods, the optional file section has AE Replacer plugins that you can use for a lot of mods out there (when installing, say yes when it asks to overwrite the original mod's plugin). There are also AE Merged plugins available. They are multiple AE Replacer plugins merged together so that you can use more mods while lowering your load order plugin count. Have all mods in their file description installed and manually remove all of the original mods' plugins as the AE Merged plugin will take all their place.

A tutorial has been added to the forums tab This tutorial will teach you how to make your mod or a patch use: Keywords to enable the Armorsmith Extended clothing modding system. Keywords and entries to enable Valdicil's Item Sorting (or any sorting mod that uses AWKCR keywords for dynamic sorting). Keywords to enable the Legendary Modifications legendary modding system. How to make your items craftable using AWKCR's Armorsmith and Weaponsmith benches and menu categories, to avoid adding new menu category keywords. How to assign slots to your items to conform to the Slot Usage Standard for maximum compatibility with other modders' apparel.
I've redone my compatibility patches. I was up above 240 plugins so I needed to lighten my load order. All the changes from the compatibility patches have been carried over into the original plugins. That's what's up with all the new AE Replacer plugins. Also I've made some merged plugins as well. If you use the AE Merged plugins you no longer need the plugins that have been merged into them. If you're unsure of exactly which plugins are covered by each merged plugin, look at the merged plugin in NMM and it'll have a list of the included plugins. Included plugins can be disabled and deleted. Old patches were moved to miscellaneous. There's no reason to use them anymore except as a modders resource if you need to pull the changes into a non-AE plugin if a mod gets updated.
I added some updated plugins on the Valdacil's Item Sorting page for clothing and armor that add support for the new Armorsmith clothing protective weave mods, and also the carry weight mods.
I'm having some issues, can't seem to wear underhelmet hoods under any helmets, hats are fine though. I have custom combat armors, craftable armor size and combat helmet headlamps armorsmith version. So what could be happening? Thanks for the great mod by the way.
They will only work under headgear that only uses the top hair head slot, not ones that use both. For combat armor helmets for example, you'll want to craft a Combat Armor Helmet w/Hair at the Armorsmith Bench and you'll be able to wear one of the under helmet hoods under that.
Hello, first I would like to thank you for the mod/s that you have done for fallout 4. I was just starting out again right before the patch dropped and managed to stop it as it started. I am currently trying to troubleshoot and get my game running again with my mods and so far it is looking good however I have run into one problem that I have been unable to figure out.
At the armor bench I can not seem to add weaves or modify any helm/hats I have been able to in the past. I was having the same problem with things like the sack hood and assault mask however a reinstall of the mods seemed to fix that but I still cant get things like the fedora to show up in the bench.
I just added the mods UCO, and Ballistic Weave Unlocked to see if maybe the quest or something else was locking me out (though I was able to add weave to things like the Tan suite and tux). I was hoping you may be able to help me or point me at a starting point to try and figure it out.
Is there a way too remove the science requirements from hybrid weave? in the base game balistic weave gives 150 balistic and 150 energy protection, in this mod its 105 which is fine and maybe a little more balanced however i need the science perk too craft it? which is a real shame, since this forces me too make a significant change in gameplay im fine with having too put 3 points into int or strength too gain some crafting perk but this forces me too invest an aditional 5 points into int, that is a major diffrence. Also i am using idiot savant so i would quite literally worsen my build if i took it just too have worse armor then if i played vanilla, i dont think thats a fun idea can i change that somewhere?
Hello, great mod. I have a small problem with it, since I installed it, the parts that cover the body of the outfits do not appear on the pipboy doll (curiously, the glasses do), is this normal? My game version is 1.10.163. Thanks.
Maybe a dumb question, but is this mod compatible with Militarized Minutemen and We are the Minutemen? I only ask because they add new outfits to the game. Other than that, I don't use any mods that alter clothing.
Currently having an issue trying to mod Maxsons Battlecoat. It shows up in the armorsmith bench, however when I scroll over the coat it displays modifications of the armor piece above it. Additionally, when I select the coat I am unable to back out of the craft menu. Any suggestions?
Check your enabled plugins in FO4Edit to see if you have another mod below AE in your load order that is editing that outfit, and breaking it's functionality in game.
When I try to use an Armor Workbench in-game, the game instantly crashes with this mod. I don't have any other mods that could interfere with this, (Maybe Craftable Ammo, but I doubt that's interfering) and I have AWKCR installed as well. What should I do to fix this?
UPDATE: Turned out I had the same issue that B01scout had, where the Crafting Workbenches would interfere with it.
Currently having an issue with anything crafted on the Armorsmith Workbench, i can craft armor but when i take it to the armor bench to modify it, i cant back out of the bench (so if i modify, i cant leave the menu) and all the weaves are gone as well. Anything i had previously are not affected, just crafted items. It worked fine yesterday and i havent updated, installed, or changed any mods or load order.
-edit just bought armor from a vendor and same issue.. so the only things i can modify are stuff i previously owned.
-edit 2 nevermind. it was Servitron Wearable Armors for AWKCR that broke it. Sorry. I dunno how to delete my comment.

UPDATE: Turned out I had the same issue that B01scout had, where the Crafting Workbenches would interfere with it.
-edit just bought armor from a vendor and same issue.. so the only things i can modify are stuff i previously owned.
-edit 2 nevermind. it was Servitron Wearable Armors for AWKCR that broke it. Sorry. I dunno how to delete my comment.
