If you want the features that Armorsmith adds to all the vanilla apparel for other mods, the optional file section has AE Replacer plugins that you can use for a lot of mods out there (when installing, say yes when it asks to overwrite the original mod's plugin). There are also AE Merged plugins available. They are multiple AE Replacer plugins merged together so that you can use more mods while lowering your load order plugin count. Have all mods in their file description installed and manually remove all of the original mods' plugins as the AE Merged plugin will take all their place.

A tutorial has been added to the forums tab This tutorial will teach you how to make your mod or a patch use: Keywords to enable the Armorsmith Extended clothing modding system. Keywords and entries to enable Valdicil's Item Sorting (or any sorting mod that uses AWKCR keywords for dynamic sorting). Keywords to enable the Legendary Modifications legendary modding system. How to make your items craftable using AWKCR's Armorsmith and Weaponsmith benches and menu categories, to avoid adding new menu category keywords. How to assign slots to your items to conform to the Slot Usage Standard for maximum compatibility with other modders' apparel.
I've redone my compatibility patches. I was up above 240 plugins so I needed to lighten my load order. All the changes from the compatibility patches have been carried over into the original plugins. That's what's up with all the new AE Replacer plugins. Also I've made some merged plugins as well. If you use the AE Merged plugins you no longer need the plugins that have been merged into them. If you're unsure of exactly which plugins are covered by each merged plugin, look at the merged plugin in NMM and it'll have a list of the included plugins. Included plugins can be disabled and deleted. Old patches were moved to miscellaneous. There's no reason to use them anymore except as a modders resource if you need to pull the changes into a non-AE plugin if a mod gets updated.
I added some updated plugins on the Valdacil's Item Sorting page for clothing and armor that add support for the new Armorsmith clothing protective weave mods, and also the carry weight mods.
I dont know how this is happening but whenever I enter power armour with my modded armor it doesnt increase the strength stats or anything so sometimes my carry weight is reduced or it remains the same. Granted I havent played f04 in years so Im not sure if this is by design or something else. I do know getting into it does cancel out any armor I had on my character so like deep pocketed stats go away while Im in it?
That's normal for any benefits from your outfit to be gone in power armor, as technically the game is removing all your gear when you get into it. It's not normal for your strength to not go up I don't think, pretty sure equipping power armor is supposed to set your strength to 10.
Been seeing some talk about not using this mod due to 'bloat' and needing AWKCR. Wondering what that means? I've used the mod before and loved it so I'm unsure what the downside could be but I also didn't get that far into the main vanilla story so I'm probably not the best candidate to speak up for the mod.

It's from an several year long smear campaign orchestrated by a DP farmer "modder" that made some inferior knockoff copies of my work that is trying to get people to use his knockoffs instead. There isn't any bugs, the "bloat" is adding a paint & dye system for components for Power Armor paint jobs and outfit color swaps, and Armorsmith is balanced the same as vanilla (a maximum of 2 items capable of having armor weaves).
Would this mod allow me to add things like "Lighter Build" to clothing from mod packs? Right now, I'm exclusively wearing clothing from Vtaw's mods, and I'd like to add modifcations to the clothes that increase Action Points.
You'll need a patch for mod clothing to add this mods functionality to them. I've never used the Vtaw clothing mods, so I haven't patched them. Maybe someone else has to do a search first. If no one has, there is a tutorial on how to make a patch for them in the FORUM tab.
I can't seem to add jetpacks to any of my PA. The attachment is dummied out, and there isn't an option for it as a customization. Am I missing something?
Jetpacks are in the Misc mod category. This mod, nor AWKCR, make any changes to Jetpacks or the Misc mod category's implementation. I don't know what dummied out means. I have no issues installing jetpacks. Your issue lies elsewhere. You could open your active plugins in FO4Edit and look in the Object Modifications records, sort by Name column by clicking on the name category column header, and find the Jetpack records to find what mod you have that edits those records. Like so.
I don't have any myself, so I don't know what it could be.
Eventually there will be a Next Gen patch for all the bundled CC mods. But nothing really changed in the base game plugin. There are some patches made by myself for some of them already available and there might be others made by other modders that make patches.
I'm having an issue where a signle piece of combat armour wont allow me to add a weave, the right arm piece doesnt have the option, where as all other pieces do. so i end up with mk 4 forged hybrid weave on all pieces but that arm and it has like 100 less damage resistance compared to the rest.
I'm not entirely sure if its a conflict or not because i dont have any other armour mods added. Unless you count we are the minutemen and its extended uniforms mod.
You shouldn't be able to put weave on any pieces of armor other than helmets. This mod retains vanilla balance: 2 weaves possible (outfit and headgear). You obviously have a conflicting mod breaking functionality of this mod as all the pieces of body armor that you can put weave on are having their records overwritten by something else. Open your active plugins in FO4Edit and look at the Armor records and find the body armor pieces to find the conflicting mod.
The issue is OMODs can't change an armor records biped slot usage, so making headgear invisible would still make 1 or 2 of the hair removal slots activate and your character would be bald. So the only way to do it is not really making the headgear invisible, but replacing it with a wig. I'm not sure about compatible mods that do this.
You have a mod conflict that can be resolved with proper load order. You can find the conflicting mod by loading all your active plugins in FO4Edit. Look at the Armor records and find the outfits worn by DC Guards. You have a mod editing them below Armorsmith in your load order that is breaking their outfits slot optimization, which is creating a slot conflict between their outfits and their wearable sidearms, causing their outfit to be unequipped.
Thank you for the response. I've been tinkering with the load order but initially I thought it was caused by another mod. I will try messing with lowering this mod and see if it works.
Depends on whether it's missing because you installed AWKCR into an existing save or because you have a mod conflict. If it's the first, thin iirc, you could console, click on him, and run the resetinventory command.

Been seeing some talk about not using this mod due to 'bloat' and needing AWKCR. Wondering what that means? I've used the mod before and loved it so I'm unsure what the downside could be but I also didn't get that far into the main vanilla story so I'm probably not the best candidate to speak up for the mod.

There isn't any bugs, the "bloat" is adding a paint & dye system for components for Power Armor paint jobs and outfit color swaps, and Armorsmith is balanced the same as vanilla (a maximum of 2 items capable of having armor weaves).
I don't have any myself, so I don't know what it could be.
I'm not entirely sure if its a conflict or not because i dont have any other armour mods added. Unless you count we are the minutemen and its extended uniforms mod.
You obviously have a conflicting mod breaking functionality of this mod as all the pieces of body armor that you can put weave on are having their records overwritten by something else. Open your active plugins in FO4Edit and look at the Armor records and find the body armor pieces to find the conflicting mod.
