    Hey WarMocK,

I've been working on a settlement location mod in the creation kit that started out as a passion project. I ended up using your mod in my build and I wanted to ask for you for permission to use it in its final version when I publish it.

If you don't want me to use it theres no hard feelings and I'll remove it.

    Thanks!

Does this mod not work, or is it just me? Every time I go to the cave to grab the note and start the quest for this mod, I just can't find it. I'll spend way too long just scouring the ground for a note, and end up giving up to go do something else. I tried some of the commands I've seen to try to get through this, but none of them do anything for me. If anyone knows what I might be doing wrong, I would appreciate it. I really want this mod to work.

I got Biff's note read it nothing happened, saw the sewer icon and traveled there found the compartment pointed to by the vault boy it was empty. Unloaded and reinstalled 3 times deleting old install files each time with same result. tried the older version you said fixed this problem same result. Each time it was from a clean save. Any suggestions?
Oxhorn gave a rave review of this mod and I was looking forward to trying it out myself, well I have read all your bug items and just about everything else others have had to say. The mod is acting just the same as my earlier post. What I have tried is I disabled any mod that wouldn't create a big problem with existing builds. I reduces my save games to 25. I emptied my inventory of all but the essentials. I uninstalled your mod and the archive files. This was all done starting with a clean save.
I have done this with all of your most recent uploads - 1.3.0 etc. Sometimes the note shows up and the sewer, but the book never does. I even tried your suggestion of placing something else in the compartment that vault boy is pointing to. Nothing the whole process has been a great waste of time, I wish it wasn't but then I wish I was a millionaire but sadly I am not.
If you can make it work GREAT but don't just tell me to read the known bugs. This is not fixed.

OK I am not one to quit so I started a new game with no mods and this mod worked according to the way it is supposed to. I created a save at the lonely chapel and proceeded to introduce the mods one at a time and run through the same quest sequence each time deleting any saves created in the process except for the lonely chapel. with all the same mods finally reinstalled it worked fine. I then retried with several saves from the original game and they failed each time. On that game I had beaten the BOS and was at level 153. Something in the progression of the game becomes a block for this mod.
I hope this info may help someone else.

      Greetings,
I'm terribly sorry for the late reply, but I got some personal RL issues to solve atm so I'm extremely busy right now.
The reason for your issue is a glitch with the Creation Engine itself, which is something I cannot fix myself, I can only go so far and provide some safety nets and backup systems to make the quest work - unfortunately, even those failed in your case.
Technically speaking the issue is that the quest management system does not catch the quest initialization event and therefore doesn't put the book inside the stash. I added a fallback solution which will force the book inside the stash once you are at the proper quest stage and open the secret stash, but it looks like that even this backup solution falls flat on its face just because the initialization of that backup script ALSO fails due to the engine glitching out! Right now I'm working on a second, independant backup solution which does not require the quest management system to run properly, hopefully this will solve the issue now. I'm going to upload it as soon as possible, but please bear with me as I have other issues to fix as well.
In order to see whether the quest script works as intended, enter the following into your console prior to picking up Biff's note:

      Set EisenwolfDebuggingMode to 1

This will unlock the script's debug notification system, which will display a message in the upper left corner as soon as you picked up the note and the quest started. If the notification says "The Quest successfully started!" the script launched successfully, and the book will appear in the stash unless there's another issue I haven't figured out yet.

I've tried really hard to debug this problem, too, without any luck. WarMocK has suggested it is related to save file bloat, which I must assume is correct, because I've taken two save files with the exact same mod list but different amounts of play time and gotten Path of the Eisenwolf to initialise on the earlier save but not the later one. I can't even pinpoint a specific quest or event within the game that breaks the quest, it just seems to stop working once a save file gets large enough. The only thing that confuses me is that I haven't experienced the same problem with other mods (or if I have, it wasn't transparently obvious as it is here).

If (like me) you absolutely cannot get Path of the Eisenwolf to work on a save file, you can always use these console commands to set things up how they would be with the quest fully completed:

      player.additem xx001f65
      set EisenwolfAlmanachScannerAvailable to 1
      set EisenwolfAlmanachScanned to 1
      player.additem xx00109c
      player.additem xx0017c6
      set EisenwolfLegacyActive to 1

Only the very last command is actually necessary, though.

(Note that if you load Eisenwolfs Legacy.esm on its own, use the set EisenwolfLegacyActive to 1 command, save, quit, load up the rest of the mod suite and go back into the game, the init quests for the other mods WILL trigger properly and give you the related holotapes.)

Im getting fusion caps (energy weapon's mod) for no reason. I put away the recharger in a container at settlement (not workshop) and still getting them. Restarting the game stopped it, but after another restart it started again. Also putting it away and taking it multiple times increases how often i get the caps, after 2 times about once every 30 sec. Its really getting annoying, anyone else has this issue?

Edit: Taking it from container, putting it away, exiting (with error), and restating seems to stop it, not sure if pernamently, also i put it away into workshop this time.
Edit 2: Works ands its pernament, gonna leave this comment here if someone has same issue.

Couldn't build with the brick housing. It was too difficult because the brick walls extend over the edge of the flooring which then won't you snap fellow flooring to it. If you want to snap any walls inside your home, such as different rooms, you won't be able too. I was really disappointed in the building mechanics of this mod. It's not worth it.

For anyone thinking about asking for valdacil's item sorting patches (or any other sorting mod), please, download "xEdit" (FO4 Edit) and launch it with your sorting mod loaded in. From here you can easily see how the tags are added to the items (literally just add your tag to "full name") which will allow you to reverse engineer it.

Takes 5 minutes tops if you *don't* know what you're doing ;)

I can not get the mod to work. I tried what you suggested, " "help pathoftheeisenwolf 0" ", but all I get is console error messages. I do get one thing that might be promising and that is a number 040017C0. What else can I try?

Uninstall it. This mod is abandoned and is basically a broken timebomb who no one wil fix ever. Nexus should delete it.

This mod and all related to it are totally broken. DONT USE IT, the risk of corrupt your saves is high.

I downloaded your mod, but the holotape isn't appearing in my inventory, what do I do?
