Any chance you'd be willing to make a "Clean" steel barrel replacer? I love the Double Barrel Shotgun but I hate how shitty, rusty and scraped up the barrel is. I'd like to think (for RP reasons and just common sense) that if one were to live in a Post-Apocalyptic America they'd keep their weapons as clean and polished as possible, seeing as how their weapons are what keeps them alive...
it would probably be fairly difficult or expensive for the average person to perform regular maintenance on their weapons. probably already a pain just to get the money to have ammo for the darn things
Umm, it would be easy as cake. Everything you need to clean your weapon in the game can be had in the opening minutes of the game
Cloth? Toothbrush? Combat Knife? For fashioning you own wooden toothpicks and tools for cleaning hard to reach areas Solvent? Turpentine or Industrial Solvent - take your pick Oil? Take your pick, there are a lot of different sources for lubricants
Need to remove that rust? A pencil and some oil is all you need.
Even in the late 23rd Century post-apocalyptic Commonwealth you'd have to be an extremely lazy person to not perform basic 101 maintenance on your weapons.
