v2.0: - Added ability to rename any reference in the world, including people, containers, furniture, doors and more. - Names can be restored to original names at any point in time.
v1.1: - New: Enabled ability to format names with tags (e.g. bold, italics, underlining) that was removed with official game patch v1.3. - New: Press TAB to cancel renaming. (1.1b) - Fixed: Issue with being unable to activate the Repair option on Power Armor pieces (1.1b)
Please note that the version number is not automatically incremented for these builds. Check the header message on the page to identify the game version that the files are built for.
As I have several F4SE mods it may take some time before I manage to upload the files to the Nexus (this is the bit that I can't automate!) Until then, new versions may already have been built via the automated build service, so do check there if I haven't gotten around to uploading them to the Nexus yet.
In your description you state, "In addition, the plugin restores the ability to use formatting tags (e.g. bold, italics, underlining) in item names, which was disabled in patch v1.3."
What or how do you use these formatting tags and do they also work from the console as well as in game?
@registrator2000, will you ever publish an update of this mod for NG FO4?
The NG version by DunDunnn has some errors, specifically when accessed via script. The plugin is not detectable using F4SE.GetPluginVersion("rename_anything"), and the mod's script functions are not recognized when called in another mod's script.
so it wasn't just me... one day i could not run the previous version anymore and had to reinstall, by reinstalling there was no way back to old fallout 4
its compatible with FallUi Workbench. Just make sure to load Fallui Workbench after the Rename Anything NG mod. if ever the mod still loaded on top of FallUi Workbench (ie: you can't see the icons before item names) check if load order is right then try disabling it and re-enabling it again.
sempre que algum mod tem última atualização antes de F4SE para fallout 4 vX.XX.XXX, provavelmente não funciona. se você usa F4SE para Fallout 4 NG (v1.10.984) precisará do mod em questão atualizado para F4SE NG.

F4SE is installed and updated:
Most Recent version of Rename is installed and enabled
When I try to rename something it tells me "Script command setname not found"
So, what do I do or what did I do wrong?

its the workaround for the meantime.
