Having fun with this a bunch. Its very neat that one texture decides how the glow works, so I made my own personal edit for my enclave playthrough. Probably going to go through and splice more textures into it later, but for now...
Give me a private poke on discord or something and ill send the files if you want. I dont think i'll upload it here, otherwise though, since it does use multiple peoples textures and very little work was done on my end. my discord is same name as here.
Good news :D The other author said its all good, so imma go ahead and set up the mod. Currently fighting Nexus with its touchy virus scans atm, but once thats cleared up i'll post a linkage of full release :D
@UlithiumDragon Hey do you think you could do a retexture for the pip-pad that would be a remake of this retexture of the pip-pad's F3/NV "predecessor" the PB Readius?
@OP, I know this is a year late, but if you want to change the glow colors, just modify the glowmaps from blue to green. Its literally just a texture file you could pop into whatever art thing you use.
It's been some years since I've played Fallout 4, but if I recall correctly you need to edit the Fallout4.ini file and add this under the [Pipboy] secton (add [Pipboy] on a new line if you don't have it): bPipboyDisableFX=1
This mod hasn't been changed in years, I said I don't play F4 anymore... why are you asking for a port from another game?
Why on earth would you expect me to be able to port an advanced animated model specifically made for a completely different game and engine... and ask about it in someone else's PM chain on a TEXTURE mod that has nothing to do with your request? =.=
I never got around to creating proper glow maps for the textures (see the stickied post).
My interest in Fallout 4 in general is pretty dead, so I don't know if I ever will, either. But anyone can feel free to make some if they want, and release them.
You have my complete permission to do so, and do not need to ask me first (even though my permission notes state that you do).
It think I'm actually going take up creating the glow maps for this as an avid fan of Tron. We'll see what I come up with.
Edit: Glow maps are done.
Requesting permission to re-upload the whole Tron Pip-pad retexture (the textures from this mod and my glow maps) as a separate mod with proper credits of course. Sorry your permission comment is a bit vague.
Or if you'd like I'd be more than happy to host the files here on this mod page. Or you can do your own release and I'll just put a link to it on my modpage.
(Also sorry it took me a few days to reply, I'm usually not this slow. n.nU)
I'll send you a PM with the glow maps so you can host them since you did most of the work, I just adapted your maps to glow. Also I forgot to endorse so I'll do that while I'm here. And thanks for the mod.
Hello, would some please suggest what I did wrong with this I have just started to use pip pad and wanted to use this with it but when I went back after installing with nmm, its not showing in game ? might try a manual install with nmm +add option My nmm is updated the pip pad ver is 7b , the description says to over write, but no message comes is up if one s is sposed The pip pad I have in game is the latest ver too but its called pip pad 2000 and in game look , doesn't look anything like it does in screenshots Also it might answer why this isnt showing for me because pip pad looks like this
Ok I know where I'm going wrong, god sorry sorry, but still a little confused The pip pad 2000 I downloaded is this one https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/32025 , in NMM it shows the pimp crew from mod author but the mod page shows AlexScorpion this mod is showing on page loads ... So , sorry that's why it wasn't working , I was trying to use this with Alex's version of pip pad 2000 , will download this pip pad 3500 instead for this re texture ...
Love this skin. My favorite so far. If someone would please pick this up and make this with the proper glow maps, that would be great. Nice work and it looks pretty good in the daytime too. Endorsed.
I am indeed using NMM. But I've also downloaded the files myself as well. I haven't yet tried just dropping the downloaded files in the textures folder.
I guess you can try adding this section to your Fallout4.ini (or Fallout4Custom.ini) file if you don't already have it in there: [Archive] bInvalidateOlderFiles=1 sResourceDataDirsFinal=
Other than that I have no idea. The only way I can see this mod not working would be if the .ba2 archive for the PipPad was getting overwrite priority.

IT IS UP! :D:D
Thanks again for this, Ulithium :D and for your awesome glowmaps and textures :D
That being said, how would one go about turning the blue into green?
Grab a material editor (I recommend this one), open it up, find the materials tab, and change the emissive and glow colors.
This might work... if it doesn't you'll have to edit the glow textures manually (any texture with a name ending in _g).

This retexture was made for the Pip-Pad model, and won't work with another mod's mesh replacer if it uses a completely different design.

Are you using Nexus Mod Manager? That has been known to f*ck with mods it installs and shed files randomly.
