Unfortunately, this mod only effects the "basemalebody" files. So, I guess there's a few that get missed... For instance, I noticed it working on some mobs yesterday, but I killed some raiders today and realized they still had on those disgusting tighty-whiteys. Works on some, if not all, gunners. But not some, if any, raiders. This saddens me. I wanted to be able to loot all the male's clothing without cringing.
Something about the basemalebody_s file is causing a visible seam where the body and facial textures meet. Deleting that file allowed me to keep the nice black briefs while getting rid of the seam. Also, it was causing a known bug with the ears and beards when other mods were installed that touched the facial textures and such. Seen here: https://i.imgur.com/gqQ7hLf.png <-- That bug also went away after deleting the basemalebody_s file given by this mod. I don't have a clue why it happens. I've searched forums endlessly for a fix. But, at least I found the fix for me.
I returned to Fallout 4 some months ago to finish the game and didn't see any issue on male characters, but to be honest, the mod is outdated by now, because it was created when there wasn't the proper tools to handle how textures work on Fallout 4. Back then, specular maps were a pain in the arse to work with, I had to do a lot of things to make them look decent with the skin. What you saw on Photoshop, wasn't what the game would look like. Now is different and you are able to see textures properly in PS before loading them into the game. To make the seam less visible, I had to work a lot on it. If i reworked it now, I'm sure it would look much better.
Hi there, I really wanted to try out your mod and installed it, but I use Enhanced Vanilla Bodies (Just the male meshes and textures since I use CBBE for female) and they weren't working together. Will try again if you ever decide to make a patch for that mod or something but otherwise, Looks good. Would like to try it out one day if I can
Hi! I'm glad you like it. Maybe in the future I make a conversion for it, but right now I don't have FO4 installed. I will return to it sooner or later and revisit this mod again
I'll keep looking, it was causing some weird rainbow looking pixelated mush lol for lack of a better description but the screenshots look good, much better than that ole yucky vanilla stuff
Couldn't figure out how to make it black myself in my mod. Well, I s'pose it's time to pass on the torch *Discontinues own mod for the good of everyone*
Believe me, was the freaking trickiest part of it all. Specular maps in this game work in a very strange way. Black isn't always black and you need to be really sure that what you are seeing in Photoshop is the same ingame.
Thank you man, your mod was my inspiration and making it pure black was like a "challenge accepted" kind of thing XD
Haha - Well, your tenacity did pay off well It's probably as best of a pair of underwear one can get right now for men.
Weird trivia: I used high quality textures on mine, but thanks to the weird angle on the texture map, it came off weirdly pixelated in-game, especially when in dark caves/rooms. I did think of fixing it, but I'm glad this mod came along and did things right.
Body textures and underwear textures use the same files, so it would require a compatible patch. I've asked him for permission to make one Edit: he granted me permission, optional file compatible with Man Fur released.

I may update it, but no promises...
