Works like a charm. There's still the clicking and radiation warning (showing less than 1 per second) to let you know when it's a radioactive zone, but the build-up is so tiny that it's easy to ignore.
Hi, I installed this mod but the ring doesn't show up on the desk. There must be conflict with other mods as I also found some mods have the similar issue. I'm figuring them out and this is also one of them. Is there any report that sounds the same as mine?
Update) Nevermind. Lootman caused the issue. It looted the ring to the Lootman container instead the inventory.
Hi this ring is a very good idea thanks for it. But when i'm enable this mod my Vault 111 is broken. Textures is missing and sometimes walls, floor and ceiling are not visible (only objects are visible). Is there a chance you can do version of this mod without adding ring in vault 111 or anywhere else? So it can be available only via console. This may fix the Vault problem.
This is a mod which makes sense. Thank you. (Yes, I know there is one which removes radiation completely but, apparently, if you ever want to bring it back, you can't.....short of completely removing FO4 and doing a totally clean new installation.)
I have never been able to accept the fact that after 210 years there would be residual radiation and radioactive storms; look at Hiroshima and Nagasaki.....both cities were rebuilding less than two years after they were annihilated. Yet Bethesda would have us believe that to the south-west of Boston there's still a glowing sea and high radioactivity.
This mod fits in with my personal "rules" for FO4: I play Survival level, no energy weapons, no power armour, no fantasmagorical perks (only those where your abilities would increase with training and experience) and fast travel only between settlements which I "own". I have re-greened the Commonwealth (nature would have certainly done this over the two centuries) and now I can turn a blind eye to radiation.
I get your point with Hiroshima and Nagasaki, but you could still speculate that because the whole world was bombarded with nuclear warheads that there isn't much space in the soil and atmosphere to "freshen" the land and air. Still glad that this mod exists to take away the worries of weirdly high levels of radiation.
Thanks for the great mod! i was planning to start a new playthrough, some kind of "radiation queen" character your mod will fit nicely with it. <3 <3 <3
Just installed Mod and all is good. Shame it uses the same slot as my Darth Vader suit, but I can still walk around with my helmet and ring on show Thanks Enrabahn. Endorsing.
Yeah. It takes up slots 33through 40 (skipping 36) and also the 51 ring slot. I may try changing slots with FO4Edit, but I'm not too hot on mod editing and will probably break everything lol.
thank you enrabahn for sharing your mod it is greatly appreciated. was wondering would you be able to create a mod that would hide the radiation notification alert that pops up on the hud when taking radiation ? is this something possible ?
To be honest, I'm not sure, I can see if it's something I can do but I'm pretty new to modding so it might take me a while to figure it out (if it's possible like you said)
edit :I've done some research and it appears this is indeed possible and has been done by a group. All you need is DefUI and DefHUD which can be found at http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/10654/?
DefHUD is perfect for this. Lest you completely customise your HUD. I would recommend DefHUD to everyone. Crosses fingers for no Nexus double post this time :/
