Conqueror is now live! The third expansion pack for Sim Settlements adds the ability to start your game with settlements built up, the ability to attack and conquer settlements, tons of Raider themed options, and even a raider-based quest line!: Conqueror

Attention VR Players and Pirates -

Late 2019, Bethesda made a change to the Creation Kit, all mods saved in it are marked with header version 1.00.

Your version of the game does not support this, you either need to go back to an older version of Sim Settlements (likely 4.1.7), or use FO4Edit to change the header version to 0.95. (This applies to any of my mods updated after November 2019)

Still playing this version in 2025. I prefer the loosey goosey approach here to the tight multi-stage quest storyline in SS2. I played SS2 up to the end of Act 1 and did not really enjoy it. Astonishing work, but just a bit too much for me. I never felt like it was necessary to explain how or why the ASAM sensors worked and the message found in the museum was sufficient to explain why they existed and why there was a delivery of them in Concord. I hoped that a SS2 Lite version would eventually emerge offering the settlement building mechanics without a DLC's worth of quests and characters, but I gather the mod is just not built to allow this.

No matter because SS1 remains functional, is excellent, and has a number great of add-ons. Thanks, Kinggath and team!
  6. The mod is goated. One part I like the most is how seamless it is for it to be a mod, I thought this was some cut content restored thing.

Does the latest version work with the older version 1.10.163 (before next-gen)? Or do I have to download an older version if this for it to work? If so, doe anyone know which version would be considered the “latest” for Fallout 4 version 1.10.163?

Any help here would be VERY greatly appreciated!

Has been so far. Still play this version because I don't enjoy having to unlock features bit by bit through a monstrous questline.

Still kinda bewildered that some people are stubborn enough that they just dont update the game to NG, kinda get the sentiment of having a lot of quests dumped on you at the start of the game but i just ignore those, aint like its adding anything lore wise to the game. but i also understand why ppl are mad at bethesda for doing the NG update as it destroyed most mods here, im trying to take a jab at people on OG its your license copy of the game and i feel like the game shouldve stayed unpdated but an update was bound to happen. Frankly i want nothing more than Classic Holstered Weapons to update to NG but i can live without it

Whenever I craft the 10-pack of asam sensors. It multiplies endlessly in my inventory. Is this normal?

Endlessly? No. Ten times? Yes. the 10-packs show up in your inventory as individual ASAM sensors. So do the larger boxes.

Any idea how the shelter score count works? My shelter score is counted as 3 and it should be 10( I use plots for every bed ). I tried refresh tool and shelter fix method but they didn't help. The shelter fix method even decreased my shelter score to 1. However, surprisingly, the settlement hapiness reached 74 and tended to reach 75(even if my shelter score was 1). I don't have any entertainment nor commercial building in the settlement, theoratically the happiness shouldn't be bigger than 73. So I am very confused.

Edit: Never mind, I ultimately solved this by turning off Shelter Mechanic system through workshop framework

    I'm wondering something.
I've just started playing with this mod but... The city planning thingy, will it remove the house I've built for myself?
I've built a house and a workshop and don't want it to be destroyed and replaced with something else.

I tried it out in another settlement and yeah it scraps the whole town. It feels a little extreme. I can't add anything to that settlement without it being destroyed eventually. I know I can turn off the automatic building and upgrading and stuff but... it still feels a little extreme and totally out of my hands.
