People saying mod doesn't work might have other mod conflicting with it.
Unlike item-only mods, script mods in Creation engine may have to modify core scripts. And that can be merged only manually, by creating a mod which support both (or more) functions. If two mods mod same script, only one loaded later works (and here come bugs of Nexus's policy - for these games it barely possible to make compatible patches without taking\modifying code of different authors, which is not true, say for Unity or Unreal-based games mods). Script Extender partially solves some of these issues. Afaik Vortex can't detect these conflics as scripts are opaque objects for it.
In case of item mods, same is true for items. A mod can add somethign to already existing item, but if a mod loaded later doesn't contain that parameter, it would be removed. The reason why some mods break Unoffical Patches for Skyrim or Fallout or said patches break "fixes" added by Bethesda later until UP is updated.
Did anybody ever figure out a way to fix this problem? I was excited when I realized I could put my companion in Power Armor. Then they proceeded to destroy it the very first firefight and then have to walk around the rest of the mission carrying the broken pieces. Worthless, Bethesda really nerfed companion power armor to where it is pointless.
it would be nice to have a working version of this, i see that someone else has tried this too but it's also bugged. it would seem they break their power armor almost every battle. especially if a car blows up next to them. the only other option i can think of is give the armor parts tons more durability when equipped on an a recruited npc or if a member of your settlement gets in one of your power armors thats sitting around a settlement. i did see that happen once during a settlement attack, a settler jumped in a suit of power armor that was setting near by and helped defend. i don't remember if it was at sunshine tidings coop or sanctuary when it happend.
I'm sorry, but I will not make a video, because I would first have to find good software that records my gaming session, (I have never recorded my gaming, so I'm complete noob at that sort of thing), than I would have to play for hours just picking fights to damage companion PA, and than I would have to edit that video, because it would contain a lot of boring and useless stuff. And I really don't have time to do all that for this simple mod. This is very simple mod and I can promise you it wont brake your game, because it doesn't contain scripts, it doesn't add anything new to the game. I just added a "perk", which prevents PA damage, to all companions. This perk was already present in the game, Paladin Danse has that perk in vanilla game. This one .esp file contains only data about companions, how they behave, how much DR/health they have and similar. Game is set up so that custom .esp files take priority over default game files, that is the whole point of mods, you can customise your game without modifying game files. As long as you have this mod installed game will load companion data from mod instead it's default files, if you delete this mod game will just load companion data from it's files. Problems can occur if mod adds new and/or modifies existing functionalities of the game, for example new areas in the game world, if you remove such a mod your save game might get corrupted, because game would try to load non existing files.
have you tried obs, you can use it to record in mp4 format. and upload it that way. obs is free, the referal link can be found on https://www.twitch.tv if you look in the correct menu. here is where i found it in my profile on twitch https://www.twitch.tv/cheetahhawk/dashboard/broadcast heres a direct link though for it. https://obsproject.comand or https://streamlabs.com/streamlabs-obs/ what i have done in the settings for obs to get it to record in mp4 is change the output from .flv to .mp4 manualy and it records in mp4 instead of flash video.
It works for me. You MUST have the most recent version of the game, otherwise you will experience weird issues. If your game is up to date and mod still isn't working maybe it's in conflict with some other mod. This mod WONT be compatible with any mods that modify companions. This is really simple mod, there isn't much to go wrong, so I can't think of anything else that would cause problems.
That mod probably does exactly the same thing as mine. I just didn't know that mod exists. I saw another mod that makes companion PA indestructible, but it has a huge bug, so I made this mod for myself and then decided to upload it.
It shouldn't have that bug. There is no obvious reason why would that bug appear, so that would be very weird. I actually made this mod because similar mods had that bug, and in one of those mods I found a cause of that bug. Naturally I fixed that in my mod. But since I just made this mod, and I didn't have much time to test it, there is only one way to find out. Let me know if you find anything weird.

I really wanna try this but I'm afraid that it will break my game or something.
Can you please make a video and show people on nexus that this mod really works?
I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels this way.

That may have happened if she was wearing PA. Have your character and all your companions exit PA and try again.
