(20.07.17) I have not played Fallout 4 (or been on the Nexus) for several months now. There is always a chance that I will come back to this game and add to this mod, but it is also possible that I will not. If anyone feels inspired to add to the lamps in the workshop, please feel free to leave a link to your mod here.
I will probably add more lamps in the style of the Rocket Table Lamp. If you think of anything that would make a good base for a lamp, please comment. (Obviously, I won't add everything that get's suggested, but if it is lore friendly, does not defy physics and looks good, there is a good chance that I will.)
Please keep in mind that I can only mash up existing models. Scaling something or using parts of something is not a problem, but modelling something from scratch and creating new textures are, unfortunately, not within my skillset.
On how to remove lamps you don't want in your workshop menu, see this video by Elianora:
I've taken your idea & expanded upon it, careful NOT to use lamps you've already done. And, I now have figured out how to make lamps out of Nuka bottles! VERY COOL!! https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/64383
I really love these they are great. Though I do wish you could directly turn them on and off like the enable function of the fancy picket fences lights
These are great, but it's a lot to add to a vanilla menu. So I moved them all to the end of the Lights menu by changing their "Priority" under Constructible Object in FO4Edit to 900. I tried 100, but objects were still loading after it in the menu, so I bumped it up to 900 to keep from having to fiddle with it. lol. So, it moved them all to the end of the Lights menu and kept them in alphabetical order since they all shared a "900" priority. Perfect. Thank you tons for this mod. The vanilla lights just aren't enough to choose from!! Endorsed!!
I don't use SKE myself (also I have not played FO4 in moths). So I won't release a SKE version. But if someone wants to do a patch (I imagine if you know how SKE works, that would be a quick and easy thing to do), please feel free to do so and leave a link to it here.
love these lights been useing them in my vault built exp the vaultboy lights not sure if its the lights but wish they were a little less bright any ideas how to make them emit less light maybe with another mod
To change the brightness you would have to change one or several values per lamp. All the lamps in this mod have the exact same values as the original yellow and blue table lamps and should emit the same amount of light.
You can quite easily edit these values with FO4Edit. Open my mod with this editor and find the lamp(s) you want to edit under "Light". On the right hand side under DATA you can now change the radius and/or color of the light (you can look up RGB color codes online).
This is great! I can't wait to use them since I've been bitten by the building/decorating bug of late As far as ideas, this might be out of the question since it may need new meshes/textures and is not really a lamp per se? But I would love LOVE some string/hanging lights; like Christmas or party lights that could be used to decorate shacks. I've looked everywhere on Nexus and can't seem to find anything that fits that description. At any rate this is top notch stuff right here! Thank you for sharing it with us
Here you go! Settlement Objects Expansion Pack: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/10075/? Strings of lights can be found under: Decorations/SOE Pack/Festival
