how do you get the holotape? im using the start me up mod for a quick start, and it doesnt show up in my inventory, also what manual are you talking about??
Hey I'm having a hard time entering the stage id for the quest A New Dawn. I understand that for when the id isn't a full 5 digits you fill the gaps with 0s. However, this is also not working. It just tells me the quest does not have that stage id. So, for stage id 10, I'm entering 00010 for the start of the quest. This is not working. I've tried another stage, stage id 30 and it's not working.
I'd rather you acquire it through normal means (which is reading the manual) since I use a utility in this mod that actually keeps you from dropping the holotape. I've gotten similar questions in the past and I'm open to DMs related to them since I'm happy to help people work through these issues. The leading theory is that the game version isn't quite up to date when these things happen, but I am curious to know if the numerous "The Chat Bunker has ..." show up when this mod and it's optional packages are installed in save that hasn't seen them before. That's usually a good indicator that things are copacetic.
That's generally good advice, but there may be too many results in that list to be helpful. The ID in question (that of the holotape) is XX004D57. Enjoy.
I'm not aware of a whitescreen issue. The teleporting behavior is something that I wrote in to all my mods and if there were a problem with it, I think someone would have beaten down my door about it by now.
Same issue, so I'll explain a little. If I use any teleporation method to enter and exit out of the Bunker... the entire screen is flashbanged (Not white, because through the blinding effect, you can see the HUD clearly)... I have to quicksave and exit out of the game for everything to go back as they're supposed to. However, when I exit using pip-boy fast travel, it works flawlessly. So maybe something with the teleportation system?
Can investigate it further? Maybe reduce the teleport flashing?
I have questions about quest manipulations in regards to Resettle Refugees Minutemen Radiant quest that I can't seem to manually trigger since using console commands can't seem to do the trick either.
When I went to the cheat bunker and entered the ID, the quest is listed as "stopped", what does this mean?
I did use the unofficial Fallout 4 patch and the one radiant quest at a time mod for the Minutemen... should I turn that (one quest at a time mod) off?
I want to manually trigger that particular quest (not to mention Far Harbor's Shipbreaker Quest) since the RNG REALLY HATES ME.
Stopped is a state where a quest is not running and has not been started (or rather, is not being started). It's a bit of an odd thing, but the information is somewhat arcane and unhelpful to someone not familiar with the game engine and its quirks.
But yeah, jokes aside, a proper explanation is needed in consideration for newbies that is just getting to familiarize themselves with modding their games to at least fix them (for BROKEN games like FO4).
8 years later, I STILL have difficulties getting that "random" (read: NEVER) quest to trigger. I only got EXTREMELY LUCKY that one time 2 years ago when I triggered the Shipbreaker quest in FAH HAAABA. I don't even remember which mod I had activated that one time...
Quite a few people have reported this about my mods. The solution is always to update the game. Updates to the game frequently mean updates to the CK and I keep my software up to date, which sometimes results in plugins made against the newer versions of the game won't play with older ones.
