This is so fun! It also synergizes well with the Better Manufacturing mod. The junk collected from scavenging can be broken up by the Component Extractor into crafting components. Then after that you can pass it along the builders.
Just popping to say that this mod has not gone unnoticed as by chance I was looking for just this sort of scavenging action, I'll be using it in the mechanist Lair, to fill the workshop with objects instead of components and setting up a contraptions manufacturing facility ran by robots as a supply line hub also along with manufacturing extended. mod.
I ran across Oxhorn's video and like how he had his setup so this mod will be perfect for that, I'll assign robots to the scavenging stations and use the vacuum to suck the objects out of the workshop breaking them down into components and restoring them back into the workshop.
So I'm getting back into fallout 4, and I'm using your mod again, and I'm realizing my settlers aren't collecting any lead at all. Does your mod simply not allow for the collection of "base resources" or is this just yet another nifty bethesda bug?
Also, what are the odds of you adding in pencils and/or makeshift batteries as a loot object for lead?
As long as the mod doesn't change the loot table of the scavenging station then yes. If the mod does change the scavenging station's loot table, then load my mod after the mod.
This addresses one of my biggest issues...chemistry crafting. Normal scrap is fine when you're building houses, when you need specific in-game items to manufacture most chems, it can be a real pain. I love running around with berry mentats for the XP boost and the entity highlighting, makes my game go a lot smoother...but antifreeze bottles are actually crazy rare.
