I almost always put the turrets on scaffoldings. Plus, not all opponents reached them. But they look so good on the walls of the Castle, for example, they can be built perfectly on such a wall. So I'll see if they still work well in the game. Thanks!

Great mod. It's a shame that they were not added to the default game considering you find these turret stands all throughout the Commonwealth.

One minor complaint is that you cannot place them fully on junk fences, i.e. there is a small gap between the stand and the fence. Perhaps someone with modding skills could make them snappable to junk fences to make them easier to place, preferably on the inner sections. That would be nice.

I f#cking love this mod so much!  It ones of the mods you try out and then wonder how you ever played the game without it - THANK YOU!

That's so odd, since I just posted that exact same thought. Love this mod.

I don't always recommend specific mods when talking to other players, but when I do, this is one of them.

When the promised update to FO4 comes (out any time now, "they" say) this will probably be included. But I won't buy the update until it goes on sale for $10 or less, because (1) I learned my lesson with Skyrim SE and (2) I already have this and other great mods so I won't need FO4 SE (or whatever they call it).

My thoughts exactly! I actually forgot it was a mod. Glad I was able to come back and endorse it.

I must have installed your mod as soon as I started playing this game, years ago. Because, for whatever reason, when I started playing again, I didn't have any turret stands. I obviously forgot to reinstall it during this new playthru. Without turret stands I thought my game was bugged, and was really upset. LOL

I have endorsed your mod, because to me it's just essential to have.

Awesome mod. Thanks very much! My only complaint is that I feel that it would be a little more convenient and intuitive if these were in the 'Defense' category in the workshop, instead of the wooden floors section. That way you can easily place both a stand and a turret, without having to scroll through a ton of stuff. But it was really simple to fix that myself in FO4Edit.

For anyone who's curious how to do it:

    • Open the esp in FO4Edit.
    • Look under Turretstands.esp -> Constructible Object -> TurretStand_co
    • Find the section called 'FNAM' and change the 'Keyword' value to WorkshopRecipeFilterResource03DefenseTurrets "Turrets" [KYWD:001DE915]
    • Save.

And that's it. Now the item will be in the 'Defense' category, under 'Turrets'.

Awesome, thanks for sharing, worked flawlessly ! Seeing the mod description, my 1st thought was also why aren't those stands somewhere under the Defense section...

Not directly related, but alternatively a thing I learned in fo4 modding to reduce the bugs is to do the thing in another order... Add all stands then add all turrets. It's a different cycle but it's good in xedit to reduce the megatons of jumping between trees.

Works 4.0 Daedragon! Thanks for a great mod. Even snaps into raider cages easy. Quick way to get height for your turrent. Either one works.

Though I hate 'wall-sticking' objects because Place Everywhere cant completely unlock the surface snap, this mod is a must. I used to make my own makeshift stands and nudge angled supports around with console commands, but this is so much easier, and looks great everytime. 10/10

with place in workshop if you HOVER over an object so that it glows around it but DO NOT select it and WHILE hovering over it like this using your Numeric keypads you can NUDGE the object (entirely POV based)
      4 ~ Left
      6 ~ Right
      9~ Away from you
      7 ~ Closer to you
      8 ~ higher
      2 ~ lower
      :)
      WITHOUT opening a console

I do not know; I just recently started a new game and don't recall seeing them anywhere.  I am assuming if they exist they would most likely be in the Prydwen or Boston Airport, but it could also be with Yangtze which I have never seen. I will keep an eye out when after I kill Kellogg and let you know.  Still weeks away from that in real life.
