It glows red whenever you equip it is that a bug? also it seems to conflict with the When Freedom Calls quest? that making the minigun on veritbird not registering when picked up

Please tell me this is solved. I want to use this mod but hate to breake anything. I'd rather not.

Edit: Went to try the quest and minigun ripped off the vertibird allright and shots registered also. Worked as intended.

Sadly it seems that literally every mod out there makes this one not work.

EDIT: This isn't compatible with Lowered Weapons. It makes sense, but just wanted to let people know. Thanks!

It is compatible with Button Lowered Weapons. Just tested it. I suggest swapping to that mod instead for future playthroughs, as it is the superior lowered weapons mod anyway. Respectfully.

isn't the spin up like less than a second? does it really bother people? lol

spin up time is a movie/video game invention. It doesn't happen in real life.

no, not exactly correct - the "real" miniguns are just rotating the barrel(s) as soon as the weapons motor is switched on - which is usually done when the weapon manned (because almost every minigun type of weapon in vehicle mounted due the weight of them). there is a spinnup before the weapon can be fired after activating it, but it does not need to spinn up everytime you pull the trigger... this would be a very bad design concept too.

No, that is not at all how a gatling gun works, each and every barrel has its own bolt and firing pin, as the weapon rotates each and every barrel goes into battery on its own. As soon as a barrel is in battery, it fires. There is a spin up time for real world gatling guns, based on the power of the motor, but it's short, and the weapon will fire as it goes up to speed.

Thing: bang... bang. bang bang-bang-bang-bang. The spin up time is more noticed on hand-cranked guns, electric driven guns hit their operating RPM in usually under a second. There are some hydraulically driven ones that also have a slightly more noticeable spin up before full ROF is hit. But if you weren't firing the cartridges in a real gatling gun while it's spinning, it would spit whole unfired ammo all over the floor as it spins.

True that, but they are very heavy, especially the older types. We've tried some of them in the military.

Hey, good stuff. You know how often I wanted to fire a quick reaction shot with any form of minigun and ended up just kind of standing around awkwardly while being laid into? A lotta times. I'm not a fan of VATS so this is a nice alternative. Cheers.

Exactly why I made these mods in the first place. Thanks, glad you're enjoying them!

Given the placement of this and the previous, I can imagine you posting the Gatling Laser mod and someone asking something along the lines of, "Hey, wait, does this spintime remover work for the Minigun?", you facepalming, then this version where you applied the fix to them going up so soon after.

Actually it's the opposite. I made the minigun mod first then decided to make one for the gatling laser then decided to make a merged one.

I've encountered something strange with this mod. Whenever I draw out my regular mini-gun, it's red hot like it just got done firing for a whole minute.

Yeah that happens sometimes. After a while, or after you shoot it, it will cool/heat up normally again. It's just a visual bug so it won't affect gameplay in anyway.
