This is NOT a fix for anything! This simply disables imagespace modifier rendering in your game in general. All the text file contains is SetImageSpaceModifiersEnable 0
If you actually have any stuck visual effects, try this: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/9852 it actually clears all the possible vanilla imagespace modifiers from you.
Like ALL the others have said - This still works perfectly, in 2024. Thanks @ Gdaddy91 for making this available. I was nearly 200hrs into a leisurely replay when the BLUR Bug hit me. I've played start to finish in FO4 for years and never encountered that before, & I hope I never see it again LOL. But, now I have this excellent workaround - Cheers P.S. The visual does seem to manifest in different forms for others. In my case, all colors were normal, Weapon and only very immediate area were fairly clear, but 1 meter and beyond was blurred too badly to be playable. Happy Gaming (endorsed)
Thank you so much! In my case, the bug was causing a green cast over the entire landscape and blurring around the edges of the screen (I thought it was a problem from using shaders until I tried your fix).
Thank you to the author of this. If you still play or if someone could adapt this to an in game vial craftable at the Chem station for emersion that'd be awesome!
Thank you for this fix. I had played some 60 hours without a problem. The bug showed up when for the first time, I used two different AP gain chems then used a scoped rifle and VATS to kill a deathclaw. Nothing I tried would remove the black/white narrow focus view. Your file fixes this and is much more convenient than typing the long console command. The bug returns each time I play the game but for now I just run your batch file. Much appreciated.
I got a concussion from a super-mutant with a sledgehammer... gave me the grayish blurred vision... didn't think much of it, there were more mutants to kill and someone to rescue.. cleared em all out, rescued the guy (and his cultured mutant friend), got paid, went our separate ways, healed up fully... hmmm, no, still there... slept... no, still there... used some adictol... no, still there... well poop, how far back was that last non-blurred save?
This fixed it in a snap, without having to re-do trinity tower Fantastic! Endorsed
