If ever there was a mod that needed to be redone with the graphic as Doctor Who's sonic screwdriver with sound on use, it was this mod!

Minor issue; this is actually overpowered. It will open ANY lock, including barred/inaccessible/terminal required and so forth.

Editing the perk parameter for getlocklevel to less than 200 instead of less than 255 sorts the issue.

Seems okay for console users, but on pc, open console ~, click on door, type unlock, hit enter. Door unlocked. Easy. I suggest trying to open the locks the game's way. If not possible and you really need to get in right now, use the method I described.

Or, you can download the mod called cheat terminal and it has a setting for "easy lockpicking" and "unlock terminals". Makes it so you can pick every lock and open every terminal.

have you thought of making it so that it unlocks terminals as well? that would double its usefulness and then make it so that people wouldn't need to download 2 mods to skip the unlock mini games altogether (they get annoying after 2 playthroughs)

Question : I did use the code to make the item appear (for me it was "player.addperk 63000f99")I seemed to have initiated the perk, yet I don't see it in my status area under perks. Is it just invisible or not listed??Thanks.

Kudos given for a "needful" thing. This is especially great when you have mastered all lockpicking and wish to bypass the lock pick game.

Heya! Nice idea! Very in league with the Skyrim skeleton key. Anyhow...I need some help if possible. Do you know the code for this key so I can create it on my character?I used a scrapping mod when I was cleaning out Sanctuary and I ended up scrapping the trap door that leads into the cellar where this key can be found, (I didn't think I would need this area.)That....OR might you know the area code for the Sanctuary root cellar so I can console command teleport there then port to Red Rocket say? Please, I would greatly appreciate it. That you! Happy holidays!

the key itself gives you a perk wich is xx000f99 (xx is the mod load order number)
      so you need player.addperk xx000f99
you can also type in the console command : help skeleton 0 to see the perk code

A more likely possibility (due to being a Bethesda game) is that the name is in reference to the Daedric Artifact of Nocturnal, which bears the same name and is said to be able to unlock anything.

The skeleton key symbolizes the uncovering or unlocking of secrets and mysteries. Coming from a time when keys of this sort could open just about anything from treasure chests to old attic doors, skeleton keys go hand in hand with intrigue and adventure

The concept of a 'skeleton key' has existed long before The Binding of Isaac.

A "Skeleton key", as a concept, has existed for centuries.
