I'm glad I found this, the style of the Raider dog is perfect for my character, since it's a type of dog that's more fitting for him then a german shepard
I'm not currently using this mod, I just think it looks awesome & wanted to compliment the Mod author. I also wanted to suggest something. I'm still looking so maybe it already exists: A GLOWING DOGMEAT!
Other modders have made Dogmeat companions that can be like a Glowing Rad Hound or something, but I would love to see a Dogmeat that has a UV green glow like a Glowing One, perhaps Green or Red Eyes, maybe some mange or raw mange in a few areas, maybe the longer sharper teeth, but he still looks like Dogmeat. He's not too ghoulish looking.
Anyway, maybe I will use your mod at some point. Looks Awesome.
Nice to see the wolf as a replacer. I just found out about Mishka existing, I know, pretty late. It's a little bit weird that the white wolfs eyes are bugged. Only one eye is blinking. But this could be because of the transformation on the dogmeat skeleton... I dont know, just a guess. It's fine so this is no complain. Nice mod.
Wow, I'm using Dogmeat and Shadow, a standalone dogmeat mod so I can run with two dogs. I didn't want to change dogmeat so I took your white wolf nif and changed the name so Shadow changed to a wolf. Very nice. Shadow certainly looks very mean and aggressive now. She isnt the cute husky I used to have, hehe.
Prossh, I'll post the links to the different mods Ive used. I'm assuming you have used the retexture mods before and know how to simply rename .nif files which is eesentially what Crimsomrider did here in this mod. Re-texturing has more to do with the texture folder, but if you need to change the names to meet the various file structure of other mods, it helps to know what the .nifs are called and what their texture names are so if you want to use a different texture, renaming it would suffice if they use the same maps. Ill explain more in a second. Its actually really easy.
First of all, if you want to run with two or more dogs and a companion, you'll need either a mutli-follower mod, which I don't use or something like this, which I do: Everyone's Best Friend by Valdacil. Second, depending on what types of dogs you want to run, you'll need to install these various base mods, then play with the textures.
For example, below I have a mod listed called Shadow the Dark Husky. That mod uses a different texture name than traditional dogmeat for the textures, at least in the stand alone version. Under the file structure, Shadow the Dark Husky Companion\textures\7iger\dogmeat, you'll find the texture named DogmeatHeadRev_d_husky.dds while dogmeat's texture file path is different, \Traditional Dogmeat Replacer\textures\actors\dogmeat as are his texture names, dogmeatheadrev_d.DDS for the head texture. The body and eyes are similarly named. So its just a matter of renaming them whenever you use a retexture and making sure you put them in the right place. So for instance, I wanted to replace 7iger's Shadow textures with another modder's dogmeat retexture's of which are many, but I use this one: Traditional Dogmeat by MetalTxus, you would simply need to rename the dogmeat textures to match the names that 7iger uses in his standalone Husky mod. Not all standalone mods may be retextured like this, but both of 7iger's mods may be. So his mods will accept any standard retexture of dogmeat by simply renaming the files to match his.
For a wolf mod that adds a marvelous companion outside the companion follower scripting structure, Shei - Wolf Companion by Netherworks takes the cake for adding an adorable wolf that will accompany you and dogmeat. She can be found outside of Sanctuary across the bridge. She has extensive scripting that allows her to do a lot of what dogmeat does and more. Its a well developed mod and I enjoyed using this one. This is the exception to the above concerning retexturing. Im not sure how Shei can be retextured, I never tried. She's a standalone wolf mod. But the following can be retextured below:
You can replace dogmeats .nif with Crimsomriders mod here and that allows you to run with two wolves using Shei above. You want to run a third dog? Use one of these two mods, and use their standalone install instead of the dogmeat replacer.
Looking at the file structure of the textures, you can adapt other texture mods by simply dropping the proper textures in the folders of the above 2 mods and changing the names of the textures to match when necessary.
Here is a mod that lets you run a rottweiler that will replace the standard texture files of dogmeat... and you can also do the same with just about any other dogmeat retexture. If the file structure and maps are the same, usually its a matter of dropping in the textures and sometimes renaming them if needed. RottMeat by ChairmanMoo is an example of a standard retexture.
Ok, so while the above can technically lead you to running four dogs at the same time, with tons of combinations, three wolves and a german shepard, three wolves and a rottweiler, four wolves, two wolves and two dogs, I find running with more than 2 plus a companion leads to less of a balanced game despite using a lot of extra spawn and extra difficulty mods. I think 2 dogs and a companion is just right for all the added difficulty layers I've devised for myself. But you may find it to be different depending on mods you use. Enjoy the experience of retexturing dogmeat replacers and running with more than one dog. I love doing it... And if barbie doll pack mules are not your favorite, then maybe a dog pack is really what you need. Dont forget to endorse your mod authors. I have endorsed each and everyone of the above listed mods including Crimsomrider's mods like this one. And please check out her other mods, she has made some fantastic mods of which a few I use and her Tomb Raider accesory mod is something special awesome.
Don't currently have Far Harbor, 'coz I'm trying to save up enough money to replace my potato with a real computer, But I really wanted to try tha twhite wolf ... Oh well. Great mod as always crimsomrider
Now if we could just get a Kiddy-Up Buttercup option, that would probably mark Arlen sooo happy
Well, only after you give the parts to Arlen of course ... Sort of like a mini quest reward/random event pet. Like the dog trainer guy (who I can never find!) except it would be a fully working Giddy-Up Buttercup
Hmmm, now that I think of it, isn't there an Ibis or some such in Nuka World that is about the right size (little 2 headed dear thingy - not the Rad Stag from vanilla) Maybe a reskin of that might work?
Even so, a reskinned/meshed dog as Buttercup would probably work

Happy New Year!
The mod above changes Dogmeats mesh to a wolf, but there is a green glowing option version of him
I'll happily be using this one instead.

Only thing is that Armor and bandana's look weird - are a bit lower. Not big issue but if can be somehow fixed it would be 10/10

Classic Dogmeat a.k.a. Pirate by 7iger Is a great dogmeat replacer, but has a standalone version as well.
or
Shadow, the Dark Husky Companion by 7iger offers a replacer for dogmeat in addition to a new standalone version.
