This is an awesome mod! I only have one gripe with it: settlers - named characters or generic - do not want to wear the power armor's helmet, and they also remove it from the armor after using it (which can be fixed quickly by just telling them to upgrade their PAs - they will return to normal)
But I have no way of telling them to equip the helmets. Going up to them in their PAs and trying to talk just makes you tell them "I need you to get out of your power armor", which makes them freeze in place and do nothing on the spot.
Any possible fixes on the horizon?
Edit: I missed one of the replies with the fix: removing settler hats before putting them in the PA. Now I have another problem: the rusty power armor glitch. My F4SE is the right one for the version of the game so that's not the fix for me. The rusty paintjob even stays if you put another, fully painted PA of a different model in the scanner. Any way to fix that one?
Edit 2: Now PAs in every settlement after that one are rusty, and I'm also encountering the glitch where the settlers just infinitely repair the PAs after you get out and come back. Now, I know it can be solved assigning them to another activity then back to the PA, but it's still annoying that I have to do that every time I come back to the settlements, taking away the utility of the mod. I hope this will be fixed in the future as I like this mod better than the other ones.
From what I understand of the mod, probably not. You have to assign a settler to the power armor station and then you can command them with the terminal. In doing so, you dismiss them from their job as provisioner.
would make a good option!!! i have settlers that can die and if i send out a Armored Kick ass Settler in Power armor as my Provisioner i can be little more happy he will not die out oon the road 8)
Love this mod! ...although I'm a bit bummed over that this mod won't work well with "Rename Anything" by registrator2000... (a bit of an immersion breaker there) It causes a lot of glitches like: *they will only stand in one spot, not doing anything. *the power armor got hovering shoulder guards, a leg piece and the rest of the armor is basically merged with the settler. *they will only sit and "fix" their power armor at the station. *sometimes they won't even get in the power armor.
I tried with renaming them before assigning them to the PA-Platform and noticed that they got their "Settler" name back. So I take it that's the problem, as if they are bound to that name once assigned, to work with the mod :/ (or am I wrong?)
(I did however find a way to do it... works sometimes... have them assigned first and ofc have them enter the PA and then exit the PA, then I could rename them without all horrors happen... but as I said: " only works sometimes"...)
I don't know if anyone else has had this problem but when I have them upgrade instead of put a copy of the parts they put a mrk 1 version with no mods or paint, I want at the very least paint so I can have my power armor guards are wearing minuteman power armor instead of a bad rusty version.
Same issue for me. It worked in the beginning. But now all new ones I build have no mods no paint no upgrades. Maintenance makes them spawn an empty frame. Upgrade spawns basic armor with no upgrades.
the mod work fine , but when settler wear the PA they will un-equip the PA helmet (fully upgraded PA template), is that a bug? anyway thank you for the mod
I think this only happens if your settlers are wearing a hat or helmet. You can see similar behaviour with other PA mods. I think it is just vanilla PA behaviour.

Removed conditions with FO4Edit... Settler won't get in Power Armor -_-
