A new game version has recently dropped for Fallout 4. Once F4SE is updated I will be kicking off an automatic build to target the new game version.

The latest builds for all my F4SE plugins can be accessed here:
    https://ci.appveyor.com/project/reg2k/fo4-mod-manifest/branch/master/artifacts

As I have several F4SE mods it may take some time before I manage to upload the files to the Nexus (this is the bit that I can't automate!) Until then, new versions may already have been built via the automated build service, so do check there if I haven't gotten around to uploading them to the Nexus yet.

Yeah, I remember playing before the major update and I miss being able to jump from vertibirds. This mod doesn't work anymore, and the 'Place Everywhere' mod that makes it much easier/better to built settlements also has aspects that doesn't work. Specifically, I can no longer turn off physics so that I can set plates/forks/knives and have them NOT fly everywhere if an explosion goes off during an attack.

I think it's cool that half a dozen community content things became available for free (arguably now made canon in FO4 which is AMAZING that fan-made mods have become officially accepted into the canon FallOut Universe), but damn did that update screw some mods up.

I wonder if perhaps it also messed up the unofficial FO4 patch, because I don't remember ever getting that 'white blindness during rain storms' glitch where things look blindingly white when it rains, but now it happens. Allegedly turning off 'wetness' will fix it but I have yet to experiment with that. Lately I had been using a mod that gives me a portable flare gun that changes the weather so as to turn it instantly from rainy to clear so that I can... y'know... SEE. I can't even see my inventory when the blindness occurs so I set the flare gun to 0 so that I can then begin stumbling around until I can see the sky and then launch the 'clear skies' flare so as to get rid of the blindness of the rain.

Ah yes, and I used to be able to rename ANY item, rename settlers, and could also use tilde to type in 'opencharactercontainer' so as to see even the inventory of wandering peaceful NPCs like Cricket or (while not in conflict with the Brotherhood) Brotherhood Knights, but now I can only open the inventory of companions. I really miss giving my settlers real names/nicknames and I also used to type in the date in which I issued them their firearm/ammo/armour but now they're all back to being called 'Settler.'

I'm sure the new content will be fun, but if I had the choice to turn down the 6 new community content quest things and have FO4 the way it was before the big update then I'd do it in a heartbeat. I still play FO4 and still love the game, but it has become a little bit less fun to me personally because of that update...

      - No more jumping out of vertibirds in power armour like a boss
      - No more naming Settlers
      - No more donating better weapons/armour to NPCs that I like or 'trading' things to friendly Legendary NPCs so their unique weapon/armour (I really did trade, I'd even give pre-war money or caps or a minigun or whatever that was similar value as the Legendary weapon, armour because I didn't want to just cheese the game)
      - No more turning off physics to make settlements look better & more lived-in with set tables and items on/in the shop benches
      - Now (at least in my personal experience) there is blindness during rain storms

Very unfortunate... very unfortunate, indeed... and that mod I used to use that let Nora survive the shot from Kellogg and become a companion is probably also broken but I haven't given it a try. I actually got REALLY good at making her look just like my partner I had at the time so that I could adventure around with her in-game and I showed it to her and she was SHOCKED at how much it looked like her. My partner was Asian (Filipina, specifically) and Nora was eating a noodle cup at Diamond City and she exclaimed "What the HECK, she looks just like ME!" lmao She was absolutely stunned at how I had recreated her in FO4.

Also Nate and Nora, due to being the two optional protagonists, they both have the MOST lines of any character in the game thus the modders had a HUGE SELECTION of dialogue options for Nora thus allowing them to make her fully voiced in a way that I thought was quite impressive! I really liked that mod, but well I don't think I'm even going to bother giving it a try now. Still, I had made some darn good memories with that mod in which Nora survives.

Hopefully someday the mods will all get patched to work with the 'big update' that Bethesda dropped on FO4, however the game is now a decade old and probably A LOT of gamers/modders who had played it passionately had moved on to other games/modding projects so sadly I personally suspect that the damage done will not be undone, or at least not ALL the affected mods will be patched/repaired to work. But dang, you'd think something as simple as 'hit spacebar to jump out of the vertibird' would be an easy one. Maybe someone else will make a mod for that that'll work even if this mod maybe will never get fixed? Perhaps I'm being a bit too pessimistic; hopefully the game's mods will be restored to working order or replaced.

But seriously, how cool must it be for the modders who made that community content to have their stuff officially taken into the fold for FO4 via an update. They can GENUINELY say that they contributed to OFFICIAL FALLOUT LORE because their content was accepted.

If I was one of those modders, I'd be so damn happy & proud <3

I made a slight error; I said that I cannot access any NPC's inventory and can only access my companions' via 'openactorcontainer.' Well that's true, when typing 'openactorcontainer' in the console command thing it only allows me to open up the inventory of my companions, BUT, I forgot that I used to write 'openactorcontainer 1' years ago when I last played before this playthrough.

When I use tilde to access console commands and click on any NPC and type in 'openactorcontainer 1,' I can access their inventory.

I now look forward to making trades for friendly Legendary units like from the Brotherhood so as to get their armor or weapon (if it's interesting to me) and I will not be stingy about it. I'll even exchange them pre-war money if I have nothing else to trade. Also, I intend to get a REALLY good firearm and give it to Cricket because she spawned with like a pipe pistol or pipe rifle; she's an arms dealer for crying out loud! I also wanna give her armour to wear because I don't want her to get killed in an engagement and a recent fight she got into near Hangman's brought her health down to something like 40-60% so I'll also give her stimpacks to also help.

If I had learned this earlier, I'd have given some armour and a weapon to the escaped Synth you rescue when you take out the Courser, even though you never see her again I don't think and she probably disappears from the game forever after that. She insists that she doesn't need help, but I mean after all the gunners and the Courser in that building it's not like I couldn't afford to give her SOMETHING lol If nothing else it'd lighten my loadout and I'd feel good for being a 'good Samaritan' in helping someone out who CLEARLY was out of their depth and didn't know what they were getting into out there in the Commonwealth Wasteland. Probably woulda also given her a stim or two for good measure, maybe a purified water and some cooked food or at least some pre-war stuff.

Anyhow, yeah, so that's good news! I was wrong! the 'openactorcontainer 1' command truly does still allow you to freely access any NPC's inventory!

I have still found no success in...

      - Renaming Settlers
      - Renaming items in your inventory (only stuff at weapon/armour workbenches)
      - Vertibird jump
      - Turning off physics of stuff in settlements to improve aesthetics

As for the blindness during rain storms, turning off 'wetness' does indeed fix that, so there's that. It's a pity, for I found the 'wetness' appearance during rain to be a nice aesthetic touch, but the main thing is at least I can still play. For me, the most disappointing loss is indeed the Vertibird jump because it is both useful and fun. I have, at times, managed to land on the top of sky scrapers lol It's also a GREAT way to get into combat, and if you're wearing power armour (which I do right from the start of the game via the fusion core under Red Rocket and the one at the scrap heap before going to the crashed vertibird near... oh I can't remember the bunker/base but it's nearby. It's where you find the locket for those farmers. There's a crashed vertibird just to the west of it if memory serves where some radstag doe are chilling. That armor is, in every playthrough, the first suit I get.

On Survival difficulty, the ONLY difficulty I EVER play on (just like Hardcore in New Vegas), death comes so incredibly easy without power armor. Even with power armor, some fights can bring you close to death and recently I was indeed killed in nicely-upgraded power armor by a deathclaw near the asylum. Actually I think I was in X-01 for the most part, maybe with T-60 arms, all upgraded with the jetpack already unlocked. So yeah, power armor makes things much safer/easier in Survival difficulty but it's certainly not game-breaking. Dying is a pain, especially since there's limitations/costs on saving.

Hi, this reply comes almost a year after your initial comment. It is sadly appearing that your assessment is correct. Hopefully someone will someday make a new mod to enable this fantastic feature, a new modder will create another mod to patch this one, or otherwise the modder who made this will return to fix their fantastic mod.

Any mod that isn't updated in 2+ years is dead / abandoned IMO, especially when Crapthesda launches major updates like NG.

If you using NG (latest F4) it will not work. Author is in the loop of update it... a bit of a hassle in the new version as I understand it.
Pstience I guess is what we all need

@registrator2000 I've been using carefully timed jumps over goodneighbor and diamond city to enter them via vertibird and i'm wondering if you'd add/move a map marker above their load door areas and a scripted "jump" landing?

or somehow make so vertibirds CAN travel to interior world spaces aka unrestrict those map markers and have scripted jumps into said interior spaces?

shameless request I know. I'm sorry. (i'm not sorry)

all this asked in the chance you return at some point to see it and care before we all die
