I love this mod because the thousandth time is a chore, so let's skip the gameplay elements that aren't fun the thousandth time. For me the left-right is backwards as others have mentioned, but that was confusing for no more than 2 seconds so I'm not complaining. The same goes for the colors.
If anyone is confused by the color of the bar not matching the preview pics: The color of the bar depends on your HUD RGB color settings set in-game at SETTINGS, DISPLAY. So if the colors are at default, the bar will look like the preview, but if it isn't it will be a different color.
EDIT: I have uploaded 3 images reflecting this, but all 3 needs to be approved by the mod author. Unfortunately, as of this edit, the author hasn't been active since 2016.
The author must be dyslexic and red/green color blind. I have to move the mouse right to move the marker left, and vice versa. Also, the sweet spot is red instead of green; nothing like in his/her pictures. Quite counterintuitive.
Is there a way to change the colors in the bar itself? I currently use a red UI to the entire bar is two shades of red I wouldn't mind having this be a different color than my UI
okay been playing this old game since day 72 (need an PC upgrade before I could play) and while I am good at lockpicking, having played through many times and now that I have all the achievements on steam as well, so cheats and mods freely applicable....
Thank you for making this all those years ago, I had a similar mod for Skyrim and it made things so much simpler. I do think this is a great cheat, but also a fantastic training tool, it is much like the transparent locks that lock smiths use to train up how to pick locks, having used the Skyrim one so much, when I came to Fallout 4, the same mechanics applied and I already had the skills needed to pick the basic locks.
My hero! Lockpicking was great that first playthrough.. in Skyrim. The second? Third?? Fallout 4??? No thank you, gimme the cheat bar to get it over with.
Suggestion: Since it's impossible to fail lockpick with this, I think it should consume bobby pin every time no matter what. That leaves actual Lockpicking skill as what you can picklock, but you will still need pins to do it.
I like it. Being hat I play on a 4/3 display, I didn't had the visuals. Thanks for playing Skyrim, I could beat that mini-game rather easily, but no matter what I can't get the visual to display and it seems that no one really made anything about 4/3 displays. And recently after an update, my Xbox30 controller stopped working. Now I was left playing that minigame with no visuals and no rumble feedback. Only sound. Great! Your mod saves me as the bar display as it should and frankly since I managed to unlock all skills but the "booby pin never break" one, It's not much a cheat that a way to fix Bethesda's idiotic refusal to support anything but 3 resolutions.
