can you please be more specific about the issue? i don't have FO4 installed since it can't run it on my current computer, so i can't see what the problem is myself, but it's worked just fine for almost two years - if there's a new bug it must have to do with an update for the game

All this did was replace the inventory icon with a teddy bear and make both versions remove the body, leaving floating armor and my head.

did you install it properly with NMM? the inventory icon is a teddybear since i couldnt think of anything else to use :P
ive tested this extensively and when properly installed this bug is non-existant IF you install properly and download the original mod by GrinnginUrchen first

Do I need to wear the evil outfit? Or can I just wear the arm with what ever i want? And as don't play as female will it be alright with a male character?

yes, the original "evil detective" armor is required. the synth arm doesnt work as an armor piece unless its plopped on a specific piece of armor; as for the male character, the original mesh for the armor covers the arms so in the male version theres only a synth hand rather than the arm

with the chem station if i recall correctly i put a custom category that says "custom armors" in all caps or something similar, all variations of the armors should be under there

I endorse this mod. I like having a synth are on my character and am kinda annoyed what we didn't get the ability to attach cybernetics in this game. If it is possible, or if it has already been done, can you guys make just the arms as its own piece of armor? i would like to roleplay as a sort of Venom Snake character at some point. Like a Terminator hybrid lol.

thank you!! unfortunately i myself havent figured out a way for the synth arm(s) to be their own piece of armor just yet, since theres heavy clipping with the original body mesh/original arm. to make it able to be "equipped", someone would have to make a whole new mesh with the arm replacing the original one in an outfit; maybe i could do something like this in the future and have it show up under "mods" under the armor workbench for some vanilla outfits or something

anyways if youre looking for a synth body or anything else robotics related, i highly recommend taking a gander at this!! its a HUGE treasure trove full of cyborg things, including a CBBE body with cybernetics http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/10692/

Hi, sorry if this has been stated already, but I find it hard to understand what's been laid out in your mod description. I've tried both the vanilla and CBBE versions of you're mod, but only the vanilla version grants multiple options in the chem station; the CBBE version completely replaces GrinnginUrchen's Evil Detective outfit with your version with the synthetic right arm and no other options.

Have I made a mistake? I would like to be able to use the CBBE version and have the option of which arm to have synthetic.

ive actually been meaning to get around to updating the description so thanks for the reminder!!
have you tried the older versions? the older ones arent working properly and i updated a few weeks ago iirc, the new version for CBBE should work just fine and have the crafting available just like the vanilla version! it also includes bodyslide files for the "left synth arm", "right synth arm", and "both synth arms" bodyshapes! sorry for any misunderstandings, hope you have a wonderful day!!! :)

Sorry if this is a daft question, but when I craft this at the chem station, it automatically comes with a left synth arm, and I can't for the life of me figure out how to change it to a right arm version, any chance you could lend a hand?

    (pun utterly intended)

its totally okay!! for the left synth arm, right synth arm, or having both, theyre all separate armors its the only way i could make it work with the synth hands and stuff; so to "change" to the right arm one youd have to craft it again at the chem station, sorry!

If I use this, can I just get the arm or do I need to wear the detective outfit? Probably has to be the whole outfit, right? Living in hope for a standalone mech arm

youd have to wear the detective outfit, yeah! so far from what ive figured out from fiddling around with some programs, the only way a "standalone mech arm" could be made would be to make the base body (vanilla or CBBE, either or) have the arm pre-attached with various outfits converted to it or built around it for new outfits

i have a few ideas of a workaround though since thatd be a pain and likely not what many people are looking for :p

ah cool, thanks, i ask because i got my piper wearing the original, but would like this for nick as well

is there any chance of it becoming a standalone?

just made it standalone-ish actually! for it to work for nick ill have to make a special file, though i think? youd def need the mod "Fashionable Valentine" for it to work either way i think! but yeah now you can craft all 4 versions, the original, synth right/left/both arms at the chem lab like the original mod
