I'm going to return to FROST when 0.4 comes out (teased a few days ago on the reddit). I'll rework this mod then as Naugrim is going to integrate Automatron, though I think he is just integrating weapons and armour. At that time I'll see if I can prevent the quest starting. I also suggest installing the 'Automatron Unlocked' mod (http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/12530/?) to ensure all parts are available, as from memory I was having issues getting all parts. However this mod does automatically grant the ability to build the robot workbench so I suggest for immersion's sake you don't install that mod until you have found it through my mod.
i'd make the schematics on the remains of Ada or her other friends. a sorta reward for venturing anywhere near those homicidal robots.
of course i'd also make all the robots in the area hostile and on the same side so they don't kill eachother. just waiting to murder the player as soon as they show their face.
The 'Since she does teach you it normally' argument doesn't apply - this is FROST, not Fallout 4 vanilla. I personally prefer the randomness of the Schematic system. I will add a Fusion Core to Ada though - In the next update, Robots will perma-die if they are killed, and require a fusion core to create.
If you ever get back to this mod, instead of having every robot cost 1 fusion core maybe change it due to the type of robot? Like Sentry bots cost two, Assaultrons and Gutsys 1, while Protectrons require fusion cells?
I wish this would have fixed the glitch where whenever you try to build a automatron it would either made him/her invisible or just fly and die. Please help!
I still have a quest to speak to her and the quest marker is at the robot ADA's corpse. Is this working as intended? If so, could you find a way to end the quest after ADA dies?
I'm not working on this mod anymore as I got bored with Fallout 4 and FROST only slightly extended my interest. I tried looking for a way to kill the quest when ADA died but couldn't without the next quest auto-starting and I didn't care enough to put in the effort to fix this. I didn't mind have the quest still open as you can just uncheck it - from my experience, questing in FROST was practically nonexistent.
Schematics have been added to the normal Schematics leveled list, in the same way FROST does (i.e. to build a heavy Machine Gun turret you need to find the Schematics). They aren't placed - you have to find them randomly. Try Boston Library, there are a lot of spawns there.
yeah , i opened the plugin in F4edit to find out but i noticed that sincei started to use your mod i don't even get the frost schematics ! any idea of why ?
They are quite rare drops, especially since v 0.2 of FROST. Pretty sure they were patched to be rarer. All i did was add an item to the leveled list so it shouldn't be affecting the rate at which they drop.
