I made a small patch to fix the issues I noticed in the latest version. I doubt MikeMoore would mind if I post it, especially considering he's finished with FO4 modding.
Changes: - Fixed the naming thing, no more "Simple Rifle" and so on - Added the appropriate keyword to the base weapon so it's affected by the Commando perk (WeaponTypeAutomatic) - Added the weapon to the automatic laser gun leveled list, to increase its spawn rate to the point I actually find them sometimes - Added the weapon to the high-tier legendary loot table starting at level 22 - Added the WeaponTypeBallistic keyword, to allow it to spawn with the Explosive, Incendiary, Plasma Infused and Violent prefixes sometimes; also has the side effect of making both energy weapon and ballistic crit buffs (bobbleheads/magazines) affect the weapon, but I'm okay with that
Leveled list edits are direct, since I can't be bothered writing an injector script for a small patch I made for personal use. I recommend checking for conflicts in FO4Edit, or better yet just merging the whole plugin into your merged patch.
I used the nexus installer to download the original mod so how do i add your patch i just put the esp in the folder where the mod is. That enough or do i need to do something else?
Both of your links just bring me to the mod page, don't see a "patch" anywhere...It says "Unofficial patch" in the URL, but it just brings me to the mod page.
That's because the Nexus broke old links when all of the new site stuff happened last year or whatever. Just had to click "edit post" then resubmit with no changes to fix the link.
Hitscan projectiles is basically a cop-out used by many games to simulate a bullet. Since bullets travel pretty fast, we can just pretend they're instant. Really good games with long shooting distances, however, will take the time and effort to actually simulate the bullet's travel time, and even better games simulate bullet trajectory as they slow down and as they drop due to the effects of gravity.
Hitscan weapons will feel like laser guns, which may feel unrealistic since guns shoot bullets.
This mod is a *laser gun* that feels like a bullet gun.
Man this is an awesome gun but it really needs some refining, especially in regard in to customization and textures. Too bad you quit modding FO4. Wish you well on your paths to come!
How to change muzzle flash color in FO4Edit or some other tool??? I just successfully changed its weapon subtype to plasma and i got all the plasma characteristics working (green projectile, green goo) but muzzle flash is still red. IDK where to change them. Thank you.
Idea for the future projects - if you make a weapon and want to present it in video , talk less or ....dont talk , dont play fucking music and let us listen the gun sound

If you're unfamiliar with manual mod installation, there are plenty of guides available regarding how to do it.
Alternatively, here's another link (different URL, but resolves to the same server):

*Huzzah! I found my first AEAR-1! So far moddable and useable. So that's a good sign.
What is a hitscan projectile?

Shoddy textures.
No customization except optics.
Odd implementation of laser ammo/projectiles.
