Description =========== This mod changes the appearance of the moon over Boston. You can choose between a highrez Moon, or the planet Saturn. Both planets use a proper resolution; Also you can choose between vanilla-size, big size and oversized.
Important note 1: ------------------- For the Lore-fans, the Fallout-world is some kinda parallel-universe, and that gives almost every possibility for this mod. But i admit: It's not lorefriendly. If you think thatz lame or crap anyway, don't use the mod, and do not comment. I am aware of course, that a moon that close would be causing earthquakes, tsunamis and vulcanic eruptions. Actually the gravity would rip apart both earth and moon. Also Saturn wouldn't make it i assume.
Important note 2: ------------------- The moon/saturn 'spins' a bit when you look up and turn. Thatz not a bug or issue with the mod, but it's just how the game engine handles the moon. The small vanilla moon also 'spins', but you won't notice it as it's so small. There's nothing to do about it. If that disturbs you too much, don't use the mod.
Important note 3: ------------------- For now there's no waxing of the moon. No moon-phases. Not yet. But for the moon it will probably come. Thatz at least what i'm working on. For the Saturn it might be not possible, let's see. Belongs all to user's interest.
Installation ============ - Use NMM for installation or manual install. - On manual installation, just copy & paste the contents of the newest version into the designated folders.
Choose one of the Replacers: - Moon Replacer MOON (Textures only, no phases) - Moon Replacer SATURN (Textures only, no phases)
Choose one of the Sizes: - Moon size 1 (esp only, for size 1) - Moon size 2 (esp only, for size 2) - for vanilla-size just use NO esp.
If you want to change the size to your liking, open one of the esp's in the CK, and change the corresponding value. Gameplay > Settings > iSecundaSize => 90 (vanilla-size) (The delivered package's settings are 200 for Size 1, and 380 for Size 2.)
Uninstall ========= Delete the folders & the esp associated with the mod.
Incompatibility =============== everything that changes the moons;
FAQ === Q: Why that gap in Saturn's rings? A: The stars do shine thru the rings everywhere the same, but where they are visible, their reflective light overshines the stars beind it partially; where the shadow wipes out the reflective shine, the stars' light shines thru the ring, while the ring itself is completely invisible there; that effect makes it look as if a part of the rings was missing; Q: The moon spins when i look up!! WTF?! A: Yup, that was also my own reaction, but it's just how the game engine handles the moon. The small vanilla moon also 'spins', but you won't notice it as it's so small. There's nothing to do about it.
