Great mod! Its my favorite Vault tec security armor ive found. Id love to see a no shin guard version so I could have more customization. Thanks for the great mod!

Many comments here are in a similar vein (i.e. vanilla looks not very armour-like), however you're all missing the point! Vault armour is meant to be civilian and unthreatening, purely for dealing with domestic situations and not even fighting radroaches, let alone raiders (neither of which existed when vaults were sealed). Remember, there's no firearms for residents, nor any knives except cutlery (and a few bigger food-prep knives owned by cooks), so it's mostly to protect against kicks, punches, bottles etc while deliberately trying not to look militaristic.

That's not to criticise the mod per se - if you want beefier military-like gear, hey go for it - but just to explain why the vanilla is what it is.

If you look at the vault security armor in literally every other Fallout game its basically a tacticool looking kevlar vest over the vault suit.

Well, you're "literally" incorrect because FO3 & FNV look more civvie-like and less military-like too. A civvie-police padded vest. And in FO4 Bethesda made that distinction even more obvious (and after all, this is FO4, not FO2). And Bethesda re-jigged the lore somewhat. But what you're actually referring to are the Vault City Guards like in FO2 - who are indeed more armoured but if you read that Wiki link you'll see they're no longer the internal civvie Vault Security Team but a universal military force descended from the original internal Vault Security Teams. Obviously they had to beef-up when becoming an army. But thanks for playing.

Nobody cares. Just dont download the mod. I personally love it. I would like a no shin guard version tho so I could have more customization. Thanks for the great mod!

Great replacement set, looks way better IMO (especially with the shinguards!) and it's fully compatible with Animated Vault-Tec Security Helmet.

Bit of a long shot but i had this in the past and loved it but now it wont replace the rubbish base version of the "armour" my organiser isnt showing any conflicts with the textures/meshes so not sure why its not working?

While I do like this. I just can't use it with the bodyslide preset I'm using.

You will get my endorsement tho!

Edit: Nvm I'm still gonna use it.

Just an FYI, the BodySlide files are set to import to meshes/armor/Vault Tec Security/ and not meshes/armor/JoeMods/Vault Tec Security/

To me, this remains my favourite best looking armour in the game and just wish it was upgradeable, so i could continue wearing it instead of having to change to leather armour almost immediately afterwards.

This mod seems to conflict with my armorsmith and unofficial patch. Anyone know how to make it work together?

Same here, Armoursmith and this mod don't work together anymore.

EDIT: Got it working. If you're using Vortex, go into the plugins tab, and drag the dependencies icon for this mod onto the icon for Armoursmith. Add the rule that this mod must load after. I haven't tested to make sure everything 100% works, but I have both mods active and can finally see the armour.

I actually always though the vanilla armor looked like one of those bibs they make you wear for getting an x-ray.
