my apologies, but I am not going to be updating this patch anymore.
I haven't used DOOM's Desert Eagle for some time now, I had been working with the author of and switched to A Collection of Eagles shortly after I made this patch.
(I cant remember if he kept my .50 AE sound for release or not, but I continued using the sound I made for this one in that mod.)
DOOM did a great job, but I would highly suggest looking at ACoE.. it has pretty much all my edits and more baked right into it.
feel free to use any part of this patch, be sure to credit DOOM for original mod.
There is no .50 BMG in the game unless you added it? If you zoom in .50 ammo it says 290 grains on the side. That is too light to be any .50 ammo other than .50 AE. Therefore the anti-material rifle needs new ammo not the desert eagle. though it is confusing because the picture looks more like .50 BMG than .50 AE. Still there are no .50 cals I know of under 300 grains except .50 A.E. Lew
Indeed. Except the '.50 ammo' in vanilla fallout 4 is modeled and textured after .50 BMG. This also came out way before there was an anti-materiel rifle creation club mod. The original mod used the vanilla '.50' It was pretty stupid looking having a .50 BMG casing coming out of a handgun, so this patch created a new cartridge with a new model. Bethesda knows nothing about firearms, which is why they often have conflicting info and poor decisions on what guns have what calibers. There are plenty of ammo box texture replacers and ammunition overhauls that fix the issue.
Since the New Calibers compatibility patch requires the standalone DOOM Desert Eagle, I tried only using the DOOMMerged compatibility patch but there are some problems. I can load into the game just fine and I can craft the ammunition in the chem station, but there are no changes to my Desert Eagle conversion mod category. It still only allows .44 Magnum, .38 (with New Calibers, it actually uses .32 ACP), and .50 BMG.
My load order is like this: ArmorKeywords.esm NewCalibers.esp DOOMMerged.esp ImmersiveDOOMMerged50AE.esp
I'm still relatively new to applying mods so maybe I'm doing something stupid that I don't know about but I've read and followed all instructions on applying every mod I get. Any help would be appreciated! It's annoying to see .50 BMG cartridges flying out of my Desert Eagle LOL
If you're still looking for a solution, i just made a fix for this. I updated the changes into the latest version of DOOMBASED Weapons Merged currently available. Note that i haven't test it yet, but i think it should work well. This is an .esp replacer for DOOMMerged version of this mod, download here: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B4HMLRIUZYp-SldZeUtMTEIxRzg Note that you still need the main file of this mod.
To @TeHCoQ, feel free to use this fix if you think it's necessary
This is totally incompatible with "Loads of Ammo" mod. If you switch the ammo, it's loading usual 44 (explosive/incendiary or else) rounds in it. But well, there is no special types of the ammo anyway..
Thank you so much for this. Not only could I not find any .50 BMG ammo since I was using New Calibers, but just seeing .50 BMG on a Desert Eagle annoyed me. You've solved both of these issues, and more. Endorsement coming once I play around with it and make sure everything is working.
I actually have been using A Collection of Eagles for ages now. nothing against doom's port, but ACoE is infinitely more customizable.. it also has all my edits baked in.
if you havent already, check out weapons of fate, adds the ballistics overhaul for all vanilla calibers.
I am extremely confused. I have the original mod,http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/10011/?tab=2&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Ffallout4%2Fajax%2Fmodfiles%2F%3Fid%3D10011&pUp=1, now which on do I download to get the.50AE cartridge.
Since you already have the gun, download the 'standalone' patch on this page. After installing, make sure it comes after DOOM's desert eagle in your load order.
Once you have the game loaded with DOOM's gun and my patch, you can go to a weapons workbench and change the caliber to .50 AE.
Since this is going for Desert Eagle realism, its not going to to happen in this mod. There's several reasons why:
-I'm not aware of any successfully suppressed .50 AE desert eagles IRL. -IRL some guy had a .44 with a 10" barrel suppressed shooting subsonsics, thing would hardly cycle -With supersonics its still loud as hell, so whats the point
Now with that being said, I would consider adding in compensators, because that would be practical and realistic. I would need to learn how to mesh and texture, so its probably further down the roadmap.
DOOM's mod already includes an extended magazine by default. The 20 round capacity from Fo2 is a bit unrealistic, so with DOOM's extended magazine you will get an additional 4 rounds from the base 8, netting you a total of 12 rounds of .44 Magnum.

renaming his esp to old name should work, as long as you don't have other mods that reference it.

qwertypol012 probably nailed it, I haven't updated this for DOOMmerged since I originally made it.
I never used DOOMmerged, so I dont even recall how I made the patch originally lol

I do not use LOADS nor intend to create a patch, but shouldn't be terribly difficult with fo4e.

Bullets can be crafted at the chemlab.

I may consider adding suppressors in the future, I still want to learn more about this.
