Hey there, I don't know if you'll see this, but I was wondering how one would go about replacing or changing the animations of the perks with something else?

I'm not sure if you still read comments here, but I seem to be having a problem.

I've followed the instructions, but when I should be seeing the perk icons, there is a big white square blocking each of the icons so I can't see anything.

    Have I done something wrong?

Thank you for this! I am wanting to put a LOT of effort into a complex overhaul of the base perk system.
All the info I need in one place will make my job a little easier, and may convince me to get off my butt and actually do it!

The vanilla perk tree start to 1 and end to 10.... in the old fallout the "perk" tree works in another way, for example the ability of guns go from 1 to 100 and the perks are another things... Since i really prefer the old fallout 3/NV perk/ability system, my question is if this tutorial can give to modders enought info to transform the actual perk system in something that looks like the old one.

      no.

Hardcore reverse engineering would be necessary for this (including decompiling of the .exe).

Actually, you can rearrange and create new perks with the Creation Kit ...

I completely overhauled the charisma skilltree and some other few perks, no custom perks yet, you can add them beneth others but the pos-offset will bug:

Exactly. Hence why the decompile is needed to "polish" the look.

Ok, ok... so correct me if I'm wrong ( I might be, english is not my native tongue )... but you're telling me that, with this mod, modders would be able to recreate new perks, new icons included in that batch ? ... ... ... If that's the case, it might be the holy grail of overhaul for Fallout 4 !

And, also... I should show you this mod : [ http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/2502/? ] "Better Perkgrid", by exiled111. His creation gave us a better, simplified, cleaner grid, without all the frills around... So, here's my question : do you think there is a way to combine them together, and... I don't know, created some kind of greater perk tree ? Something that would allow us to have a great amount of perk choice at the same time ?

      It's not a mod, it's a tutorial.

Better perk gris is just a modification of the assets embeded in the SWF. You can decompile the BetterPerkGridSwf and edit the locations just the same.
