Hello Quaz30 ,. Saw this on one of oxhorns video's and came to have a look, I know most of it a reference to fnv , of which I never played, but whats with the mannequin in the shower covered in plungers ? heh
A beautifull home, sadly the workbenches dont work ante there are invisible objetcs. I can see the effort in the details, but in this state is just a waste of space.
Would've appreciated if you put which DLCs i needed in the description. Looked all around in Cambridge only to find out I was missing two DLCs. Still looks great though!
You don't need the DLCs, I found a way to make this work on Vanilla. First make sure you have Nexus Mod Manager if you haven't already downloaded it. Then download FO4edit here: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/2737/?tab=1&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Ffallout4%2Fajax%2Fmoddescription%2F%3Fid%3D2737%26preview%3D&pUp=1
1. Then install the Apartment 161 mod with Nexus Mod Manager.
2. In order for FO4edit to show and let you edit the .esp file for the Apartment 161 mod you will have to make the program think you have the required DLC files. I did this by navigating to my Data folder and making 3 copies of Fallout4.esm,
3. Rename your 3 copied Fallout4.esm files to DLCCoast.esm, DLCworkshop02.esm, and DLCworkshop03.esm. Make sure that you label the file as .esm or this won't work
4. Go back into FO4edit and load up the Apartment 161 by making sure the checkmark for it is checked. The program will validate that you have the DLC files (Or so it thinks)
5. Next open up the QuazApartment161.esp file and go to the File Header. Be VERY careful! Do not change anything except for deleting the 3 Master Files that are labeled DLCCoast.esm, DLCworkshop02.esm, and DLCworkshop03.esm. To remove these delete the section that says Master File that is directly above DLCCoast.esm, DLCworkshop02.esm, and DLCworkshop03.esm. DO NOT REMOVE the Fallout4.esm Master File, because that will F things up.
6. Once you are done exit the program and save your changes, you can make a backup if you want.
7. For the last step delete the fake DLCCoast.esm, DLCworkshop02.esm, and DLCworkshop03.esm files that you made, if you don't the game will crash immediately.
8. There you go! You can play this and have a wonderfully made and spiffy apartment. Make sure to not disable the mod or you will have to do all of this again. I suggest that you backup the QuazApartment161.esp file and then just overwrite it in the Data folder after you disable and re-enable the mod.
I just hate it when mod makers make us use DLC when there is no need for it. The apartment works just fine on Vanilla with no crashes or glitches. Enjoy!
Jericho2, Could you put screen shots for part 5 where you go into the File Header and delete the three master files? I don' want to f*#@ anything up and I am not sure as to what exactly you are referring to. I want to use this mod so much but I don't have all the DLC.
Better yet, I'll just give you the .esp file so that you don't have to mess with it. I know using the Fo4edit tool can be a little confusing at times. The name of the .rar file is the same so that it will successfully install in Nexus Mod Manager. It includes the fixed non dlc .esp file and the original main file and texture files. Hope you enjoy!
this is one of the best looking mods i have found BUT none of the crafting stations work click on then you stick for a few seconds then your back out shame i would love to use this as my home, new vagas was one of the best fallouts in my opinon, please if you know why this is happning can you fix it i have all dlcs the unof patch and more than 2000 hours played so far and im just starting to mod the game.
