Guide (pdf) to create your own Custom NPC .esp combining choices of NPC edits from the many wonderful NPC/Companion Mods on the Nexus.  Intended to allow the user to consolidate NPC esps and/or resolve conflicts between NPC esps by creating your own custom .esp (Patch).  Basically the user creates an esp that chooses which NPCs/Companions from which Mod they want to utilize in game, and then the original esps may be disabled.

Requires FO4Edit to create the esp, but does not require FO4Edit to open the guide to see if it is something you feel comfortable attempting.

GamerPoets has a great video on installing and functions of xEdit (FO4Edit) and the link is included in the guide.
Elianora has a great video on removing certain NPC edits from a compilation NPC esp, which is recommend if that is all you want to do.  Again the link is in the guide.

At this writing I have consolidated/edited 28 NPC/Companion mods(esps)  in my own game into 1 esp.  So I presume some other folks could use this as well to free up some esp count. (or to just be able to use NPC X from Mod Y and not have Mod Z override it)

While it is not possible to run through every possible scenario contained within the numerous NPC mods on the Nexus, it is hoped the guide will give the basic understanding of the functions in FO4Edit to allow the user to explore and create on their own a custom NPC esp using existing Mods.

I would like to personally thank Gopher/FadingSignal/Elianora and GamerPoets for their fabulous videos on the use of FO4Edit.  Please visit their sites and spend some time on those.   Without their assistance I would still be struggling to decide which esps I wanted to use and which I had to give up on as I reached the infamous esp count.  Now, I can truly have my cake and eat it too.  Or truthfully, the whole buffet can now be experienced, not just the dessert bar.
