I have made the IW 1.8 FOMOD available on my personal Discord server until I have all the 2.0 files tweaked and ready for Collections usage for those who can't wait. Please note you'll need to agree to the server rules before the mod channels will appear.
***** PLEASE check the troubleshooting notes in the file description before posting here with problems, and double check the LMCC page to ensure you are not using conflicting mods. ******
If you apply the .esp version and the characters look warped in a strange way, please post a screenshot as this can be related to certain characters' default FMIN values being changed by vanilla updates, which is something I can adjust for if necessary.
EDIT: Although IW no longer requires LMS&E, I'm going to leave this post in the stickies as a lot of people seem to use it as a reference. If you're using IW 1.8 or above, don't worry about these instructions unless you want to use LMS&E for hairs only on your own.
If you are having severe/constant FPS drops and/or stuttering and you think it may be being caused by Lots More Settlers and Enemies, there is a tutorial below the spoiler cut on how to use FO4Edit to remove all the NPC-generation functions of LMS&E and leave only the hairs that IW uses as assets, this should fix the stuttering but be aware that after doing this LMS&E will no longer affect any settlers, enemies, minutemen, or any other procedurally generated NPCs. It will still provide assets for IW and you will still be able to use the hairs in the looksmenu as well.
Freaking FANTASTIC mod! Piper looks freakin' awesome!!! I had been using a different one on my last playthrough and while it was good, this one is far superior! user True Reporter for her and when I showed up at Diamond City and saw her in the new outfit and then the cutscene kicked in and there was her face with that great hair.
I've gone ahead and downloaded all of the rest of your replacers. If they're even half as good as this then I know I'm in for a treat!
Brown tinted faces. This is the only mod that caused it that wasn't corrected by the Rusty Face Fix, and I've tried like 2+ dozen different NPC edits. Not even worth downloading if I have to disable my skin textures just to use it.
It's too damn common for mod authors to call users stupid when their mod causes problems. I did read the troubleshooting section, and after trying several fixes (which no other mods that do the exact same thing needed), this mod still caused issues. I stand by what I said.
If the fixes weren't ensuring all your face and facial feature textures are vanilla resolution, then they aren't supported by the mod author bc they don't work, since "rusty face fix" mods will only fix the conflict between vanilla-sized vanilla textures and HD modded textures, NOT vanilla-sized modded textures and HD modded textures. You can't mix and match facial resolutions, it's an engine bug that is not fixable. Dark face "fixes" don't actually fix the problem, they just overwrite vanilla textures with different resolutions to avoid resolution size conflicts, which obviously won't work on mods that add non-vanilla textures, and this mod uses multiple vanilla sized assets as resources.
Since you A. don't understand the problem and B. refuse to do the thing that will fix it that is clearly listed on the mod page and just want to complain instead, then yes, I am going to treat you like you don't know what you're talking about.
Hey there, just wanted to say that it's not this mod, and to say that only this mod causes the dreaded "rusty face"/"black face" bug is just factually incorrect. It's an EXTREMELY common problem. So common that you will find various mods here on Nexus attempting to fix that bug. It is indeed caused, as the author has stated, by mismatched face resolutions. You should check in your data folder what you are using so you can match anything else you use to that resolution.
Thanks for the mod literallybryonic, there is a dreadful lack of male companions on here and you made MacCready super cute. :)
If you got close enough to Diamond City entrance for her to spawn in before installing the mod, then it's too late for the mod to remove her hat. You can do it yourself by trading with her once she's your follower.
i just got to diamond city and Piper looks...yeah im not sure what went wrong i got most of the recommended mods at least for the women https://imgur.com/a/TTAEW7l
Are you using HD DLC? If yes, you need LLMC HD DLC Fix. I had exactly the same problem as you, and this fixed it for me. Download HD DLC Fix from optional files. https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/24830?tab=files
the files on nexus are one per character. the old version has an all-in-one installer where you can choose individual characters or packs of characters, see the top sticky for the discord link for that.
Hey thanks for the response, great work by the way, the characters look better than vanilla but still fit in the world, the replacer looks good in game, and thats the hardest part, looking good in game but not sticking out, downloaded and endorsed. Thanks for your work.
