I love this mod so much! Thank you for this spectacular work! I just wanted to share my troubleshooting experience today in case anyone else makes the same random mistake I did. When I was moving a file from the folder I have my mods in to the game file (some mods are supposed to be IN the game file--most are not, though!) I guess I accidentally dragged that file AND this one into the main game folder. Uhhhh...sooo....don't do that! XD What happened after that was the lights wouldn't work, none of the switches worked, and the loading screens were soooo long. I went to uninstall and re-install after trying a million other things, and discovered that the file was not where I thought it was. If you have trouble turning on the lights and activating the switches, it's probably an installation error, or the file is in the wrong place. At least in my experience. I reinstalled the mod using Vortex and put the file in the right place, and now everything is perfect again! The switches still grumble about not working, but they work. I don't know why they do that. I'm happy everything is working again. I do have to visit the manor initially and then fast travel far away and then back to get the textures to all activate, just like lots of others have said. That's not a problem. It's absolutely gorgeous. I know some people have said that it breaks immersion, but I don't feel like it does. I feel like there will always be things like this somewhere among humanity. I could elaborate on that, but this isn't really the place for it. My point is I love the mod, and thank you!
Just now starting the explore this place. Started to go up the steps and heard gunfire, so I ran around to help any random settlers in trouble. Noticed on the Eastern side, a section of ground from this mod is about 2-3 feet lower than it needs to be. Thus, you can fall right through the ground and through the playable terrain. Luckily, my infinite jumpjet mod came in handy and I got back on solid ground. Maybe something to fix.
This is a really good mod, and it's plain to see you put in a lot of hard work to make this. Personally, I'm not a fan of the roller coaster, but it works well, and it was a nice touch. I played it on the Xbox One version, and there were few problems. The whole castle didn't load on the outside, and there was a noticeable drop in the framerate inside. Objectively, probably the best mod I've seen. Subjectively would be Skyrim's Randy Savage dragons.
I found a way to play this mod without any DLC! But there are a few glitches if you do this:
- There is no roller coaster! The lights render but the track is non existent. There also isn't a "you must be this tall to ride" sign. Probably because all of this was included in the DLC files.
- The glitch with the textures still happens once you find DrakenVile Manor. Just fast travel to another location and then fast travel to the Manor. Yes, the map marker still works without the DLC!
- Once inside you will notice that the stairs shown in the pictures are non existent. Which means you will have to use the tcl command to reach the second floor of the mansion. Also in the bedroom there are no stairs leading to the bed with the weird picture of a man above it. Also there is no floor unfortunately in the bedroom. But you can still use the tcl command to reach and collect the items.
-In the bedroom you will notice missing textures on the floor and you can see right through the floor to the first floor. Do not worry, you will not fall through the floor, just ignore this graphical bug.
-Everything with the switches will work, this includes lights, fireplace, and water controls. The shower even works as well!
-Both elevators work, but in the room with the power armor stations there are some graphical glitches. But again don't worry, you can't fall out of the world because of these. My guess to this problem is that the mod creator was referencing textures from the DLC files, that we don't have. Thus this causes the glitch, I don't really care as long as it doesn't crash.
-In the starting spot for the roller coaster, there is a huge gap in the wall. Don't walk near this opening because you can fall off. Major graphical glitches occur in some spots but mostly it works. Just use common sense and you should be fine.
-Some of the decorations like the robot in the glass sphere and the statue with the stealth armor are missing. Some doors are also missing, most notably in the bedroom on the second floor. The basement still works though, as you can build whatever you want in there.
Other than that, this mod works perfectly without any crashes. I will thoroughly enjoy sniping people from this humongous castle!
This is how I ran the mod without the DLC files:
First make sure you have Nexus Mod Manager if you haven't already downloaded it.
Then download FO4edit here: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/2737/?tab=1&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Ffallout4%2Fajax%2Fmoddescription%2F%3Fid%3D2737%26preview%3D&pUp=1
1. Then install DrakenVale Manor with Nexus Mod Manager.
2. In order for FO4edit to show and let you edit the .esp file for the DrakenVile Manor you will have to make the program think you have the required DLC files. I did this by navigating to my Data folder and making 2 copies of Fallout4.esm,
3. Rename your 2 copied Fallout4.esm files to DLCCoast.esm and DLCNukaWorld.esm. Make sure that you label the file as .esm or this won't work
4. Go back into FO4edit and load up DrakenVile Manor by making sure the checkmark for it is checked. The program will validate that you have the DLC files (Or so it thinks)
5. Next open up the DrakenVale Manor.esp file and go to the File Header. Be VERY careful! Do not change anything except for deleting the 2 Master Files that are labeled DLCCoast.esm and DLCNukaWorld.esm. To remove these delete the section that says Master File that is directly above DLCCoast.esm and DLCNukaWorld.esm. DO NOT REMOVE the Fallout4.esm Master File, because that will F things up.
6. Once you are done exit the program and save your changes, you can make a backup if you want.
7. For the last step delete the fake DLCCoast.esm and DLCNukaWorld.esm files that you made, if you don't the game will crash immediately.
8. There you go! Now enjoy your new mansion home. Make sure to not disable the mod or you will have to do all of this again. I suggest that you backup the DrakenVale Manor.esp file and then just overwrite it in the Data folder after you disable and re-enable the mod.
Overall this mod works rather fine without the DLCs. Sure you lose the roller coaster ride, but who really needs that? We don't really need the stairs since the tcl command will work just fine. The only thing that might be annoying is the missing floor in the bedroom. I tested this mod and there are no crashes whatsoever. Enjoy your new home!
Thanks. I plan on next trying to fix the delaying scripts bug of this Multiple Companions Overhaul mod. Hopefully it will be an easy fix like this one was with the changing of some values. It doesn't require DLC so I won't have to include these fixes.

Not to Ditto my lovely Wife! But Ditto! Was so excited to check this out now that Sigyn and I have both decided to play some Fallout4. Nice to take a break from SSE ( and my first house mod I am working on for my SSE follower). You my friend are a genius and an inspiration. If I could do a house 1/10th as nice as this it would be very nice.
Again. This is Amazing! Thank you so much for this wonderful mod!
Thankyou so very much LokiX1 and SigynX1 that means the world to me. I have recently fallen a horrible misfortune and lost all my machines, equipment, and work. I am trying to rebuild currently from nothing and its going slow but I am on my way back ASAP. Thankyou again for yall's support much love!!
Oh no, I am so very sorry to hear that. I hope things are better now. We are always here if you need to talk! Your well-being is more important than any mod. *hugs*
OMG that is terrible, sorry to hear you have issues with the systems and losing your work.As SigynX1 said we are here if you need to talk. and if there is anything I can do to help (IT architect / consultant.....although more of a UNIX guy in RL) I can try to help troubleshoot if that is where you are at with this. Not sure we can help, but always willing to try :-DGood luck friend.
A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! I knew that this would be a masterpiece but wow, I'm pretty speechless. I submitted a bunch of photos but they don't do it justice at all. I need to go back in with my more vibrant ENB to really catch the colors better. How long did this take to create? I can't imagine the work involved.
And the roller coaster! That was so much fun that I need to go back again soon. Maybe ride it like 10 times in a row. LoL
