For anyone looking to use this, but trying to figure out why you don't get the charge up sound, I got you.
If you use any mod that overrides the default gauss rifle sounds, you need to revert those changes. (Given that this mod has no ESP, any mod with an ESP will override this one)
For example, the Wattz Laser Gun mod overrides the default gauss charging sound with its' own. All you need to do is open FO4Edit, select the Wattz file, (ESP or ESL) navigate to Sound Descriptor and drag the original gauss rifle sound over to the Wattz Rifle. This should be the same for any mod that overrides the default gauss rifle sounds.
For me it was CROSS PLasRail. It had it's own charge sound. I don't know if this is true or not, but maybe any charging weapon with its own charge sound overrides the default Gauss. It wouldn't make sense since they should draw from their own naming conventions, but IDK.
Hey, I wonder how difficult it would be to change the firing sound to the Slave I's seismic charge blast (without the initial "suction"). It seems like the perfect sound for this gun. Could I do that having no experience with this kinda stuff? Does anybody know what I'd have to do? Thanks.
