As of 3/12/2025, with the current game version (next gen), Installing the widow shotgun mod will stop CTD when scrolling through the menu in the cooking station.
Changing armor slot is not working. I follow the steps to perfection, this guide - change-armor-slots-in-mods/">link1 . One of two things happens: 1. Nothing changes even thought I have change slot number. 2. I can lock in both items to my player but the item that I changed slot disappears. Anything you guys think I might be doing wrong? Last question. Can I make changes in xedit while playing the game or does the game need to be closed in order for changes to take effect? Thanks in advance.
Replying super late here, but make sure you're changing the item slot in BOTH the "Armor Addon" and the "Armor" category under your mod in Xedit. Ensure you pick the same thing in both categories - it needs to be a free slot you're not using with something else you're already wearing - and make sure you don't have any additional slots ticked as well since you can pick multiple.
What I personally did with these gun holster mods was use slots 54-59, using say, 54 for holsters, 55 for pistols, 56 for SMGs, 57 for automatic rifles, 58 for LMG/grenade launcher, 59 for grenades. Pick whatever slots you want, but categorize. Then you can ALWAYS carry any combo of 1 pistol, SMG, rifle, etc. (I change my guns out often.)
Always make changes in Xedit when the game is not running. (I don't think it will even let you overwrite files when the game is open) Probably too late to help but hopefully this helps someone.
i unpacked and repacked the files taking everything but the holsters ,vanilla knife, and grenades out so i hope that it won't ctd anymore let me know if you want the modified file
Taking a shot in the dark here, but is ANYONE able to craft some more weapons for this mod? I'd personally love the full range of grenades since my character is always big on the boom-booms, but in particular I'd like to be able to wear a visible nuka-grenade.
I might try to make this happen myself, but my modding experience is very limited and sadly I'll likely be unable to share such an addition with all you fine folks even if I am able to make it for my own use.
only if you try to use holsters for modded guns you dont have? in the mods description it just says basically you just need the weapon mods for the ones you want to use.
