I cant get the "colors" menu to show ingame. I already opened the esp with F04Edit and add the "ap_WeaponMaterial" keyword in APPR - Atach parent Slots
Will try a new game an post the results (didn´t work, color menu still not showing on the 44 pistol)
Using the a revolver reanimation mod, witch shows no conflict with this one, and legendary modification, witch shouldn´t be a problem
I loaded all my mods on Fo4Edit for loking at other conflictive instances but none of my mods conflict with your mod, neither modify the 44 pistol (besides the reanimation mod mentioned)

I hope you can help me, this mod looks awesome

A new game definitely wouldn't affect it, yeah.

But the reason you aren't seeing any conflicts is that this mod doesn't modify the .44. I'm piggybacking off the system they added for Creation Club paints for it, which gives a lot more compatibility. And no, you don't need any CC paints, I set it up in a way that means it'll work whether you have any CC paints or no paints. The only records I changed are two Nuka-World revolvers to allow them to change the colors.

If you're sure that it's not the reanimation mod, and that your game is on the latest version (because I know some people refuse to use any version after CC was implemented, which won't work with this), then the only other thing is to make sure that you've completed Taken for a Ride. I thought I had that in the description, but it must have gotten deleted with some edit at some point, sorry. I set it up in the same way as the colours for the Handmade Rifle, with the idea that seeing as the colours are all Nuka-World specific, you have to get through the Gauntlet first.

      "Taken for a Ride"

That is a quest I guess. That could be the problem, since I tested the mod in a save where I didn´t complete any of the initial quests.
Tried starting a new game also but the modifications still didn´t show, but again, no quests were completed. Game version is the latest.
I will try to complete the quest you sujest, It will probably work since it seems like a requirement.

Thanks for the mod, for fast answer and for staying active on this comment section even when the mod is a few years old.
Truly underrated mod, I´ll endorse once tested, have a nice day :)

No problem! I try to keep on top of the comments of my mods, even when they're small like this. It pays off too, like this revealing to me that the quest requirement wasn't in the description.

But yeah, Taken for a Ride is one of the Nuka-World quests. It's the first one after completing All Aboard and travelling to Nuka-World itself, so you at least don't have to get too far into the DLC, though the quest might not be the easiest for a low level character. Once you've completed that, it should all work fine, but let me know if you still have issues!

i can't seem to get the mod to work. the only mods i have that affect the revolvers are an animation replacer, cut mods restored, and maybe awkcr? putting it at the end of my load order didnt work either.

edit: seems awkcr is the culprit. I tried making a merged patch but it still doesnt work, i might just give up lol

Yeah, AWKCR is kind of a mess at this point, I wouldn't use it unless you absolutely need it.

If you feel comfortable doing the work in FO4Edit, you can do it yourself with relative ease. You need to make sure that the .44 Revolver/Western Revolver have the "ap_WeaponMaterial" keyword in the "APPR - Attach Parents Slots" section. Other plugins should already have it there, so you can copy it over to the problem plugin or into a new patch of your own.

Thanks for making this mod, I especially like the Disciples color.

A question, could you do something like this for the 10mm Pistol? It has textures in the base game for a Nickel collor swap, I think it would look really cool.

I've had a look at the files, but I don't really think it's worth it for the 10mm Pistol. The nickel textures that exist for it only work on the receiver section, so there's a lot of sections that look odd when used with it, especially the barrels.

Cool idea, I really liked the handles for the western revolver but hated the low volume/sound of the gun itself. No longer a problem haha.

Sadly I can't get them to show up in game, I have a few mods that alter the 44's crafting menu for parts so I'll do a bit of trial and error and get back to you.

If any of those mods add new slots for the revolvers (like different calibers), then this mod won't function. The only way to solve that is to create a patch between the mods, but that's pretty easy to do in FO4Edit.
