Well, I just spent the last hour trying to get it to work, but all I was able to manage was a darker gold. I even tried altering the specular, but all I got was all over shiny suit. Sorry!
edit: Ok, found a specular that fixes the shiny stripe and number problem. You'll need to download two files from this mod: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/245/? they are http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/download/1243 and http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/download/1774 (those are direct links to the download files so you don't have to find them out of 45 files.) Don't forget to endorse this one, too!
Actually, I like the way it looks so much, I'm using it myself! Glad I was able to find a solution (someone else's solution, so don't forget to endorse akalor as well) to the issue I was having with the shiny specular on the stripe and the numbers.
Not yet...I could upload her though. I have 2 saves, one right after creation (prior to naming and SPECIAL) and one right before the exit of the Vault, with the Pipboy game in her inventory. I mad 2 changes upon exiting that aren't reflected in these saves, though. I made her hair Dark Red (it was originally light brown) and toned down her sunburn a bit.
I'll just upload her here, rather than giving her a page of her own.

D'aww, you should have kept her to yourself! She's really perfect ;3; Anyway, I'm pretty happy with my current Pipboy recolour but this is still really nice! I like the Vaultsuit recolour too, great job n_n
I like sharing. :-) My current avatar is my character from Skyrim. When I uploaded her (and the nightmare list of required mods to get her) folks liked her so much, I was able to get a fantastic companion maker to make her a companion, too.
