    Hello Fallout Fans.

I just want to officially notify publicly that, I was ask by a member of the Brotherhood of Translators if they could translate my work into French.

I officially give them permission to do so, as well as  to any other Language they wish.

    Be Well

Hi. This mod looks amazing and is exactly what I need for my builds. The problem is the pieces don't show up in my workshop menu!

I installed it with MO2 and although the names of the objects show in the concrete category of fhe workshop, they have no icon and are invisible. The pieces have there place in the correct menu but no object appears before me. You can hear the sound that is played when an object is placed but these concrete pieces do not appear.

I have read it might be due to the mesh or texture files not installing properly but I have compared the contents of the zip file with what is in my mods folder and it looks OK.

I have got home maker, settlement objects expanded, settlement workshop framework, workshop plus, place anywhere and scrap everything installed but I don't think there are any conflicts.

I appreciate this is an oldish mod but it would be awesome to get it to work. I am mad for concrete! Any ideas? I am at a loss.

      HI raider2000,
I don't use home maker myself, but I am a fan of Kinggath's and the SS2 team. I know there are no conflicts with WSFW or WS+.
Since you are using MO2, troubleshooting this should be easier.
In MO2 make a second profile. In this profile only select WSFW, JCW Builder and the cleaned base game.
Start a new play through, when you get out of the vault head straight to the workbench in Sanctuary.
If the models show up, then there is a conflict with another mod.
Try adding in home maker and try again. Should be no need restart the playthrough, if you just add each new esp to the end.
When you find one that bumps my models out, or there are other missing models, chances are that's where the conflict is.
Then you have a choice to make. Just a reminder though the game does not like it when you remove mods mid playthrough.
Bigtime corrupt save files can happen when you do,

Let me know how it goes. I'm not in here a lot, but I'll check more often until we figure out your issue.

Hi jc1ward just wanted to say nice one, 10/10 and very well done on your concrete block mod.

Is it possible for you to make more concrete block types for you next update:

    • Stackable concrete pillars ( that are the same size height as the floors but 1/16th the size of a full floor)
    • Upside down ramps (for building cantilever structures)
    • 1/4 Stackable Quadrant foundation (for quarter size rounded corners on concrete buildings)
    • 1/1 Stackable Full Size Quadrant foundation  (for large rounded corners on concrete buildings)
This is by far my favourite settlement mod and would greatly appreciate it if you could create more types of universal concrete blocks. This is literally like virtual Lego.

    Best regards

      Hi Sean,

I've let my 3ds Max student license lapse. But if I can get things up and running again, what you're asking for should not be hard to make.
No promises, but I'll look into it.

      Hi jc1ward

       Sorry for my late reply.

Many thanks for getting back to me.

If you could do that I would be eternally grateful. SERIOUSLY

      Are you familiar with P I R A T E - B A Y you can download 3DS MAX free of charge and cracked.

I can help you with downloading from *not allowed* if you need help.

I am willing to pay for your services in designing new concrete universal blocks for fallout 4.

Please email me and we can discuss a paid project. I have about 20 concrete block mod ideas.

      Sorry Sean,

I neither participate nor condone piracy of any kind.
I also do not accept payment for what I consider just a part time hobby for me.
This mod started out as just an educational exercise for me to see what was involved in 3D modelling.
I never expected it to gain any fan base, but the accolades are appreciated.

That being said the versions of 3DS Max needed to use FO4 tools is no longer available for download at Autodesk.
I've been thinking of checking out Blender. I know there were some in the community that were researching using it for FO4 model creation.
If so, that would be a desirable avenue as it is open source and GNU.

Again, no promises. As I've been more interested in playing SS2, than modding. Consequently, I haven't had the muse to do more in the 3d modelling in a while. The Concrete pillar's sound useful. If I do add to the mod, the content you suggested is definitely doable.

There are many who use it for Skyrim stuff.  Not sure how different the meshes in FO4 and Skyrim are, but Blender should work if you have the right plugins.  Also, curses to those big 3d packages for thinking their stuff has to be so expensive that normal people cannot afford it/justify the expense.  They would sell a lot more copies in this new modded video game era.

I found this mod through a youtube video, it looks great. But I'm having a problem. None of the pieces are appearing. I can find them in the concrete floor and other sections, but they are just blank. I tried changing up the load order (I don't have that many mods installed) and restarting, nothing works. I tried in settlements where I haven't disabled the build limit via "setav 34[6/b] -1" and it's still the same.

      Hi doodiedialoguedeputy,
I've kinda been away from modding for a while. Still am actually, just got curious if there might have been any activity.
I realize it's been several months since you posted this, and it's likely you moved on. That's cool too.
If the items show up in the builder menu but are invisible when you try to place them, It's likely that some how the meshes are missing.
One way to tell this is if when you select them if they have the green highlight, then I would say the meshes are good, maybe the textures are missing.
But since I use the textures from the game, it's unlikely they'd be missing, unless you installed a mod that removes them.
You say you saw my mod featured in a video. if you can remember, I would like to know the youtube channel so I can thank them.

      Hello,
I was in search of concrete ramps, nexus didn't show this up, you might want to add some tags if possible.
Using google, I came across this reddit thread and here I am.
Very excited about these pieces but now I'm a bit afraid to install, due to the above comment, since this mod was last updated in 2017.
I am using Settlement Keywords and Settlement menu manager and I'm hoping that they will show up and won't brake my workshop menu.
If they do, I shall give further feedback.
Also about your warning on overwriting; I assume this mod doesn't replace or edit any vanilla pieces right?

UPDATE: Hmmm... While installing via Vortex, I had a confliction warning between this mod and Alternate Settlements about ShackBalconyFloor01-05 and mid floor foundations .. I think I'll hold back until you clarify.

      Hi ComZiz,
First sorry for the delay in response. I've actually been playing using Sim Settlements, so I've been distracted :-)
I don't use Settlement Keywords or Alternate Settlements. I did just download them and did a quick compare in xEDIT. I saw no conflicts there as I use a unique tag to the ID names I make. The conflict Vortex complained about is likely in the mesh folder. I do modify a number a vanilla floor pieces to add snap points for stacking. Likely Alternate Settlements does the same. If that is the conflict, then both mods should coexist just fine with whichever one wins the conflict. It wouldn't affect a save.

Update: Looked at a couple of the conflicting meshes in Nifscope and indeed it looks like we both add snap points for stacking, though we named them differently. So, I'd suggest if you want use both mods just install Alternate Settlements over JCWBuilder and it should work fine. Neither mod does the "correct" way and archive our meshes so the overwrite over loose files. Again won't affect a save.

Hello there! Thank you very much for your mod. Could you make a separate DDS file with a concrete texture from your mod?

      Sorry for delay, in response.
The mod currently only has meshes and uses the games texture files. Or are you asking that I make texture files separate from Bethesda's?

Nice mod, have used a lot myself
for the ramps it would finish it of nicely if there was an outer corner ramp...
that is, ramp parts one could use to fill up gap that ramps at right angles make.
inner corner ramps not a problem as they can merge and look good

Can you send me a screen shot of the gap you are talking about?
I have plans on an update, when I get some free time.
If it is what I think, I may already have it in my list to add.

I'm not sure how I built before this mod, Thank You

I was coming to ask the same thing. Assuming LPlates and I are asking for the same thing, it's the 1x1 piece where ramps at right angle to each other don't meet or they cross through each other if using place anywhere. I fill it with one of the 1x1 floor pieces, but a piece that follows the angle down would be amazing. In my case, I'd also love a 1x1 pyramid top where 4 ramps would meet.

I'll try to get you a screenie.

1st thing that came to mind with these ramp pieces was to build a smooth-sided pyramid.

Yep, I got the concept, and I like it.
I have one started in 3ds max.
I just need some free-time and motivation (mostly free time).

Could anyone please tell me what was added or changed between v1.2 and v1.3 as there is no entry in the "changes" tab, plus I like to keep updated.
any assistance would be appreciated thanks.

Sorry, the Change log got out of order some how putting the 1.3 at the bottom instead of the top.

Basically, I added a series of corner ramps similar to a pyramid corner (on request)
also added a series of concrete floor pieces that can act as ground floor and also snap to top of walls like "shack floor upper" (also requested)

I'm going to add some concrete wall pieces when I get some more free time. (Hopefully not quite so long as was with this update)

First of all thank you for the mod, is amazing, i use to build walls around my stlementes, but by chance also noticed that with another mod, gives to great houses, it would be possible for you to make some blocks type woodfloor with the thickness of the smaller ones, and another with Half the width of the midlle ones

I'll give it thought, I've been working on RL projects as well as a tutorial for another modder, and have not been doing much on the mod lately.

Just to get it straight though, you are requesting I add a wood floor piece version of the one that's highlighted in your screenshot, and a concrete wall with the height and length of the Concrete Half Foundation piece, but half the width. Correct?

What I wanted was a piece to the floor just like this highlighted on the image (I joined the small 4 to show what I wanted but in concrete) and a half width on the other if possible.
I apologize for my english, I use a translator

would it be possible to add more game textures styles like the church stone and cobble stone brick and red brick pathway textures? please the home maker mod uses those in it's wall set's!..

I believe the Covenant settlement has the cobble stone wall set that the homemaker mod uses

Unfortunately, The UV map on the ramp NIfs are kind of skewed, it's not real noticeable with the concrete textures. but textures with a more discernible pattern like brick and stone they look unnaturally stretched. I would be willing to add them, if I can fix the UV Maps. For that I need time and a valid license for 3ds Max. I'm looking into some online courses, so I may qualify for one soon.
