Okay how do I get this outfit. I have tried to build this in every workshop but none have it. I bought some off of a merchant but it doesn't look
the same. I am using CBBE and have built it in bodyslide, but can't find in game. Thanks . Not sure anyone still paying attention to this post.

"It takes 2 minutes to do it with CK on your own. It's easy and simple."

Not everyone is a modder. I've been doing this for almost 40 minutes and I have no clue what I'm doing. The only reason I've gotten as far as I have is because of my experience in jury-rigging my unstable collection of skyrim mods to BARELY run without exploding my PC.

I had to make an entirely new account on some backwater forum just to get the creation kit installed, THEN figure out how to get THAT to not crash.
    (which, granted, wasn't hard)

Now I have it open, and I don't see the plugin I'm supposed to double RIGHT click (did you mean left click?). The problem with this is that you assume everyone has the same setup and experience as you. I for one, have never even SEEN the creation kit before, I'm 100% lost in there. I'm using mod organizer too, and all of my s#*! is in completely different places than the more popular NMM. I installed the mod manually just to avoid any stupid problems, and the plugin just doesn't exist. I assumed you meant a .esp or .esm file, which is what I THOUGHT a plugin file extension was. The ONLY thing I can double LEFT click to open with the creation kit is the .nif file. No esp or esm files even exist in your mod. I unzipped a completely fresh copy of the mod just to make sure I wasn't missing anything.

On top of that, when I open the .nif, either from the folder in my mod manager, OR the file in my manual install to the Fallout data folder, I'm met with a texture error, but at least the outfit shows up. Sucks to be me though, because the creation kit window trails off the bottom of my screen, and trying to resize the window locks it to the left side of my screen, so I can't check to see if the footstep box is even there. I could be in the entirely wrong place for all I know.

Could you give some more specific instructions on how to get this working? Because this is beyond frustrating at this point. Asking the end user to finish making your mod for you is ridiculous to begin with. This might be simple for you, but it is sure as f*#@ NOT for me.

I DO NOT ask people to "finish" my mod for me because my mods are already finished. The mod does what it says it does, it replaces the mesh with barefoot mesh. That's it. No ESPs, no textures, no material files. Only a mesh.

The optional steps are for people who want the BAREFOOT FOOTSTEPS which requires another mod. IT... IS... OPTIONAL if people really want it and if you have never even seen the Creation Kit and don't know how to even open it, then maybe learn the basics first before trying to do something.

I was extremely specific on the front page and it tells exactly what needs to be done. Download the mod mentioned, open the mod in the CK and follow the steps.

f***in' amen man, such a giant pain in the ass to have to download the stupid Bethesda launcher in order to even get the creation kit and all the pissing about trying to follow those "not very helpful at all" instructions.

next time just upload the mod with the sounds ffs...

It's probably late reply but... What you are supposed to do is:

      • load the Barefoot Footstep in Creation Kit
      • In the Object Window  (if you closed it just go to View > Object Window) find the file named "AAClothesPrisoner"
      • Open that file and change the option named footstep: (on the bottom left of the window)
      • Change it from "NONE"  to  "FSTBarefootFootstepSet"
      • Click OK
      • and then you can just Save

Btw Crimsomrider  I think it's better to specify in the description that they need to load the Barefoot Footstep and not this mod. Should be enough to avoid any further complaints.

    Simple yet very immersive. Thanks.

Regarding the edits you suggested, I think it's much easier and faster to just use FO4Edit instead of the CK, but both essentially do the same thing I guess.

Would this work without too much fuss with a CBBE body?

EDIT: i'm dumb, there is a file for CBBE, disregard this question.
