New "Craft" would allow you to craft (Make) Fusion Cores types, Power Armor Frame types (Not just Vanilla Size) and Power Armor Parts per Frame type (This was an Idea for a Mod called "W.A.R R.A.Ds, FALLOUT!!!", where workshops can be upgraded like Vendor Stalls (Seeing as there where multiple variants of Workshops). 1.Vanilla Options > 2. Craft Vanilla + Some of Ideas > 3. Craft ideas from Mod...same with Rework Bench Mod idea = Weapon 1. Upgrade/Change 2. Craft Weapons/Ammo 3. North Digger's idea of people Crafting for you).
Basically Fusion Cores were meant to come in a variety like how I made "Vegan Adhesive Glue" mod, but I'm just starting to mod this game (Very slowly as Tools are somewhat terrible).
I figured I should give you the idea of the Fusion Cores instead (As when I had gotten all the tools and later found out some didn't work I erased the good copy of ideas (Like Recharge Rates) with tools and gave up). Here it goes

- Recharge Cores: Instant/Refuel (Required Items/Ammo to be used up like Gasoline/Bullets) or Plug'n Wait (requires Power Cable & cores to be stored in Bench, you don't have to stay and watch a timer and rates were in written down with good copy of ideas...I only rough copy now)
Explain Plug'n Wait: A...Transferring Cores to Powerbench would recharge by storing them over time, B...Add another Button "Recharge" like "Transfer" that keeps the Cores separated from the Connect Storage or any fusion core stored is recharged, C...Make a separate Workshop (4/8/16 Slot) for recharging Cores)
Explain Instant/Refuel: A...Take core out and Drop core on ground > get 2 options Take or Transfer > Use transfer to store items in Core to refuel

- Craft: Type (Name, Capacity Pts): Refueled by (Material/Ammo or Regen Pts per Footsteps (At first I meant Meters, but I don't know which is easy to calculate)...also and/or Standby (Time while Standing)...con = Wait/Skip Time, but it would be based on BrokenReality1911's statement of '72 minutes in Reality is one day in Fallout 4' and Time per Foot Step = approx 5sec per step so H-Core on Rainy Day = 1min 40secs when standing in the Rain...for Lore x48/24/12/6/3 = 80/40/20/10/5 mins while Idling, Upgrade to decrease time...I think you can't use Wait while in Combat, so that lores it too)
= H-Core (Hyrdo Core, 175): fueled by Cyro (Ammo), Nuclear (Ammo=Nuke/Material=Waste) and Water (Dirty/Purified); Rainy/Clear Day (10/5pts per 20 steps); Swim or Plug'n to Generator (10pts per 20 steps) and Storm (20pts per 20 steps)

= E-Core (Energy Core, 150): fueled by Plasma/Laser/Fusion Cell (Ammo)

= B-Core (Burn Core, 125): fueled by Cooking (Using bench 10pts per item), Wood, Oil or Cloth

= R-Core (Recharge Core, 75): fueled by Plug'n Generator (20pts per 20 steps), Clear Day (10pts per 20 steps), Storm (40pts per 20 steps)

= M-Core (Manure Core, 50): fueled by Fertilizer, Food, Meat, Bones, etc

= PAK-Core: A Packed Core is a combine of 5 cores same, but doesn't improve refuel method (So H-Core = 875, E-Core = 750, B-Core = 625, R-Core = 375, M-Core = 250...makes R-Core's Storm charge useful)
- Upgrades: Core uses 25/50/75% less when Sprint with PA, H/R-Core recharge 2/3x faster, Drain -25/50/75% of pts

...I never really worked out how much it would take to craft each, but seeing as the Powerbench has to be upgraded (Perks & Material Required) and then the Cores...it wouldn't be too diffcult...in fact the first Upgrade of Powerbench would be easy (Only Material Required, 2=Perks & Material) and the M-Core & R-Core would be easy to make...while the PAK-Core would require Perks on each upgrade.
Powerbench lvl.1 Vanilla
- Recipe: Gears (6), Oil (4), Screw (4), Plastic (4), Circuitry (3), Fiberglass (6)
- Perks: Local Leader Rank 2, Armorer Rank 1
- Upgrade, Change or Repair PA Parts

Powerbench Lvl.1 Mod
- Recipe: Steel (20), Oil (5), Screw (5), Plastic (10), Circuitry (3), Fiberglass (5)
- Perks: None
- Upgrade/Change/Make/Repair Vanilla PA Parts/Fusion Core

Powerbench Lvl.2 Mod
- Recipe: Nuclear material (5), Steel (30), Crystal (5), Aluminum (5), Silver (5). Fusion Cell (10)
- Perks: Armorer Rank 1
- Make Vanilla PA Frame, Some Mod PA Parts/Fusion Cores/Frame/Vehicle, Customize Some of Vehicle

Powerbench Lvl.3 Mod
- Recipe: Nuclear material (10), Gold (5), Spring (5), Fiber optics (5), Gears (5), Fusion Core (20)
- Perks: Armorer Rank 2, Local Leader Rank 1
- Make All Mod PA Parts/Fusion Cores/Frame/Vehicle, Customize all of Vehicle
This does sound like a good way to overhaul the Power Armor system or at least give it more depth, but I'm not sure I'm the right man for the job, just got started on modding and I definitely got a lot to learn still.

My advice to you is to make the mod incrementally, that's the best way to get used to any game engine for me.

I'm actually working on it, cause I finally found a way to get Mesh into Blender, but now to get back to Fallout 4

I never wear Power Armor because it's so bulky and ugly, and I'm a shallow man. xD; So it'll be nice to have a use for fusion cores AND a way to prevent a stupid random death ruining hours of progress in Survival Mode.

Your comment is why I want (wish) to create W.A.R. R.A.Ds FALLOUT (Transform from PA to RA...Ride Armor aka Vehicle...seeing as PA is like a vehicle...just needs a Menu, Transition & RA Animation), one of the things I wanted to add was different Frame Types for Different sizes based on what we've seen in shows, movies and other video games (I use Copyright Names as examples, not to simply copy off ideas).

Power Frame Types: Name - Max Height in Meters (Examples in Brackets)
- Quick - 1-2m (Assaultron, Iron Man...there was a mod with very slim armor, it had this futuristic jet wings...I don't remember what its called)
- Power - Max 3m (Vanilla-PowerArmor, Veronica)
- Omega - Max 9m (Transformers, Optimus Prime)
- Nitro - Max 18m (Gundam)
- Macho - Max 25m (Megas XLR)
- Lunar - Max 30m (Vanilla-Liberty Prime, Marvel's Galactus)

(I put them in Alphabetical Order so you know which is better, so Lunar Armor, Macho Armor, Nitro Armor, Omega Armor, Power Armor and Quick Armor)

Well wanted it to become a part of gameplay as soon as possible, so that's why it's easily accessible.

Though I am planning on adding a more "energy-efficient" version of the device accessible after finishing a quest or a dungeon.

K tested and ready to go.

(apparently didn't actually prevent death before, whoops)
