This mod provides an Alien Molecular Disruptor pistol which shoots energy that disrupts the binding of molecules comprising matter ... thereby damaging and/or destroying that object. Similar to the base-game's Alien Blaster, but fires more rapidly and strikes the target instantly. See the image gallery above.
The stats look way underpowered. Could you make a version that seems more blasterish? The Alien Blaster was a weapon to be reckoned with in previous Fallout games.

Perhaps try it before suggesting it is underpowered.
It begins with more damage than the Alien Blaster (60ish instead of the Blaster's 50), and when fully modded is one of the most powerful weapons in the game due to its damage-per-hit (90ish) and high fire rate (50) ... and that's before perk bonuses acquired during play. But even so, I spent several days tuning play-balance across many combat scenarios at various levels, and believe it to be well balanced progression-wise throughout a playthrough.
Also, I will in fact boost weapon damage if there is general feedback that more is truly needed; for example, the various receivers could be scaled up, or new ones added to the list. But I'd like folks to try it as is initially.
well I carry modded Alien Blasters for Orbital Strikes too... and a Blaster ITSELF has a lot of energy damage BUT sure requires a VOLLEY of hits against big Supermutants or Animals... So this Disruptor is a MUST TRY for me...
in reference to your comment about BOOSTING Power... I VOTE FOR THAT! (perhaps you can make toggleable settings) *** EDITED LOVE YOUR DISRUPTOR and also this Liberty Prime Assault Gattling Laser too and I think I will use THAT for big mutants, or special attacks..
I loved this new projectile and Crit effect so much I used the creation kit to crack open its files, edited a garbage legendary effect and ,add it fire these sexy blasts on any weapon. And it’s awesome lol oh and addendum: while I’m thinking about it I only did this for me, I’m not stepping on this authors toes by up loading it here or anywhere else, sorry folks.

Sweeeeet. I swear, If Fallout allowed dual wielding of pistols, this would be the most fun a mod could be. XD I can still switch between them when I get bored of a laser color though, so hurray!
I also thought of a purple laser alien blaster but you beat me to it Athelbras! xD Request, alternate black retex with purple glow parts and terminator 40 watt range laser sound would seal the deal with this cyberpunk-ish gun!
Sure - alternate textures and colorings are reasonable, although I am clueless as to the nature of the sound effect you mention (other than something awesomely powerful sounding).

Where to find it:
• in the same location and under the same circumstances as the game's original Alien Blaster ...
• or directly initiate that special encounter yourself if it has not yet occurred ...
• or look for the alternate location southeast of "Crater of Atom"; refer to the screenshot in the Images tab above.
An .ESL version has been uploaded.
"Blackened & Weathered" appearance with Purple energy effects. See images for screenshots.
If installing with a mod manager, be sure to do a regular install, *not* an "Upgrade". Allow file replacement.
