Known issues with Start Me Up: * This mod may conflict with some mods that edit dialogue and quests, including total overhaul mods. See the FAQ on the main page for details. * If you are upgrading to version 6.x, you NEED to start a NEW GAME (see the changelog for details). * Sometimes the player voices are a little too dramatic or emotional, considering it's not your child anymore. Not much I can do about that. * Start Me Up is probably NOT compatible with "Weaponsmith Extended" according to reports here. * On rare occasions, and if you have a large load order, for some reason the script engine gets overloaded and the Vault 111 interior Gear Door won't open once you go in the vault. If you run into this problem, you can use the console command TCL to go through the door(s) and explore the vault if you want, and you can use the console commands set SMU_CanTalkToNick to 1 and completequest SMUQuest which will basically skip over the "Rumor of a Vault" quest.
Any other issues are very likely to be caused by a mod conflict or just having too many mods installed and overloading the game's script engine. Learn how to use Fo4edit to check for conflicts and resolve them.
I have uploaded the source scripts for v6.0 and opened up the permissions for any non-commercial use, with credit of course.
Since my wife and I had a child last year, development on this mod has stopped, and I've hardly played any video games, much less Fallout 4. I think I can count on one hand the number of times I've even turned on my gaming PC. In a nutshell, any attempt to be a good father requires a lot of time, and that time has mostly come out of video games and other hobbies. I also have a full time job, I maintain my own home and automobiles, and of course there are the demands of friends, family, and the trappings of modern life.

Good advice to go with an up-to-date mod, next new toon I will do so. With this this current toon at level 72, I don't think so, not for one dumb, goofy quest.

Here is more info like quest id & stages of quest: -Rumor of a Vault (smuquest) -10 - Search for the Vault -Open the Vault -25 - Enter the Vault -30 - Explore the Vault -40 - Listen to the Holotape -50 - Report the Kidnapping
You can check on a quest stage, advance a quest if its glitched or you're stuck, or if it is just too annoying or boring with these console commands [careful to save BEFORE doing any of these, just in case, ya know]:
completeallobjectives (quest id) - completes all objectives for the given quest
completequest (questid) -> complete current quest
getstage (quest id) -> shows current quest stage
setstage (quest id) (stage) ->
sqo (quest id) -> shows objectives for a given quest
sqt -> Shows the status of current quests (scroll up to get quest id)
I've never had as much trouble with a mod in my all history of gaming and modding as I did with this mod.
Autor is less helpful than Rockstar's customer service. Any problem you have the answer is "just use the redux version xddd" which means you gotta brick your save game and start a new character.
There is some guy who's basically replying to every post with a console command that doesn't work
If you're having the most common problem with the mod and that is the main quest not advancing (111 vault not opening), there are 3 mods that claim to fix that, none of those do. They're useless.
The solution to this bugged mod is a simple console command I had to search for 1 and half hour thats 150+ comments away.
It's basically "help pod6 4" and it will give you the ID of the pod6 recording, play it and your main quest advances.
The author has stopped developing this mod. that's why there are barely any help here. - 111 vault not opening is a common bug in the original version and the only way I managed to fix it is to start a new game with it. you can looked at old post and find console commands, and in fact the pod holotape console command is also mentioned in the mod description.
It's easy for fallout 4 save game to get more corrupt the longer it gets with mod bugs, that's why 'starting a new game' is a common answer
I'm trying to begin with a custom start. I'm able to access all of the sections that build where you start, your level, your origin, etc. But I am unable to assign any stat points.
When I fill up every stat, I cannot proceed. The "continue" option stays blocked out and I am met with the message that I cannot proceed without naming my character.
As far as I can see, there's no naming option available.
This also leaves me stuck on the stat point assignment screen since I also can't back out.
The mod worked well but the only problem I've been having is the vault is not open? I have gone down there (using custom start) and the vault isn't open and I have no way to open it, please help!!
I have the same problem. Need to go to the vault but the vault door is closed and i cant find a way to open it. Very frustrating. Let me know if you find a way, ill let you know when i found a way.
I think i know why the mod not was working. I installed a more modern update. So i go down the list until the one file with title "Basic Main file without patches". Install and works fine. In other walkthrough i will check the other option (start out the vault).
I try yesterday another playthrough and have the same problem, stuck at cryopod. I see my mod list and think perhaps the problem is i have XDI (Extended Dialogue Interface) and was not choose the right option. I pass to Redux with XDI. All works at the moment.
