I love these mods and noticed many people having issues, so I downloaded my favorites for a new playthrough and everything is working 100%. I know that doesn't help many of you, but it tells me there must be something simple and/or conflicting that is being overlooked. I use Vortex and I run the following without any issues in 2022: Clean Barns Unpainted Clean Shacks Compatibility Clean Warehouses + 96 other mods (new start for Sim Settlements 2 playthrough)
I'm a simpleton with little modding knowledge... so if I can get it running, any one of you definitely can, too!
The huge prefab barn has no window glass at all. Why? Pictures and video show it with glass. Using the clean unpainted version. The install isn't rocket science either, so... where's the glass? My guess is a new mesh without it? *sigh
Great mod, unfortunately it conflicts with your other mods !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How can you make a bunch of mods which conflict with one another? If you must do that then make an AIO mod which has all of them. I had to disable all and keep just one active, and I also started to experience CTD after installing them even after I sorted their load order. Truth is, these mods haven't been touched for 4 years and that explains why all these issues...stay away guys or just install one mod only, either this or one of the others on his mods list.
Or learn what you're doing and fix it yourself in FO4Edit. This is just a texture replacer. You should just be able to pick and choose the things you want from it and overwrite it with the textures from another mod, if you understand the game file structure and know how to use the tools. Mod authors make mods for their own reasons. They don't owe anything to anyone to fix every conflict you have.
If that's the case it should be clearly mentioned in the description as people's knowledge of "game structure" differ. I still appreciate the mod and I've just endorsed it, just to show gratitude.
Mr Rabbling man ? The mod/s work just fine. You can always move the plugs in sorting list, last one wins. And the "only window" mod only replace textures and such, so that can not really make a conflict. It's not touched for 4 yrs cuse there's nothing needed to do. Maybe U just have a potato puter or don't know what U doing ?
I use Vortex. I've been using both Clean Barns and Clean Warehouses for years w/o any problem, but with this new playthrough that I am putting together, Vortex simply will not deploy them both. I can set up a rule putting one before the other or never together, but claims there is a conflict. It's very frustrating. So, instead of insulting others, offer constructive help.
I love this mod, it had a place in my load order for many playthroughs.
But I've found another, which has the option of unbroken windows for our building pleasure, and so much more... Vanilla Barn Additions is a non-replacing alternative...
I love this mod so much! I could not build settlements without it. I was just wondering would there be any way to get this mod in a non replacer version? That way I could have both the painted and unpainted walls. Or maybe walls painted different colors like blue, green, etc.
Again, best mod ever probably one of my favorites along with clean warehouses.
I'm actually trying to convert the painted and unpainted ESPs to be standalone, but being that I'm not very good at modding it's going to be quite a while, even if I manage to do it.
This mod is standalone, actively maintained. and adds a great many new pieces to the vanilla barn set: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/23238 The author also has a warehouse mod.
If you ever return to this mod it would be great to have the ability to build all three versions of your barns (painted, unpainted, vanilla+windows) in the same mod. I fully understand that it would be a very intensively extra level of work compared to the current replacers. Just offering suggestion if you decide to keep updating your great mods.
Indeed, it would be nice to be able to build all three. The mod author seems to have skedaddled, so maybe someone else would be able to implement it, with the author's blessing.
I imagine it would be possible to tweak the painted, unpainted, and vanilla ESPs so they could work simultaneously.

Only repaired but still dirty.
